The Downside Motor Co specialises in supplying all models of new and used Vauxhalls throughout the South West. Our department managers have over 85 years of Vauxhall experience between them. The Dealership itself has been here 32 years.

We have a selection of new cars available for demonstration as well as access to the extensive Vauxhall dealer network.

We have Vauxhall fully trained service technicians to look after any servicing or other requirement you may have in our fully equipped workshop. Courtesy cars can be supplied free of charge (subject to availability).

Had my car sold to me by Jordan who was amazingly helpful from the start. Helped explain everything over the phone before I came to see the car I wanted so it was not a wasted journey and when I arrived was really welcoming and friendly. He helped put me at ease in regards to a difficult financial situation and always did his best throughout to get me the best deal and throughout the whole experience was not pushy in anyway. He has completely changed my idea of a ‘typical salesman’ and I would thoroughly reccomend him to anyone looking to buy a new car. took my car in for a service when I collected it I noticed some new damage on the n/s/f wheel, turbine alloy that I got from them at the start of the year. they said they noticed when they started work on it. funny bit I cleaned the car myself previous weekend and waxed it including the wheels had an op on Monday could not drive until Friday when it was booked in and yet the damage had dirt rubbed over it. I hate people lying to my face

Not impressed. I was in the area on holiday when my car lost drive in all gears. I got the AA to take it here as they were the 'experts' and I needed a quick repair to carry on with my holiday. They rang later in the day to tell me they weren't sure, but it was either the clutch (£800) or the gearbox (£2100)!! Couldn't pay that so I got the car sent home at great expense and had to hire a car. My local garage rang the next day to tell me they had replaced the drive shaft for £180, job done!! Very disappointing.
