First impressions nice location, parking can be a stretch. Ordered a full english vegetarian breakfast, was very basic with two fried eggs, two hash browns, one sausage, a small pot of beans and literally a small mushroom on a plate. Hygiene was a bit poor, we were sat at the back of the cafe and noticed cobwebs in some areas. Overall, staff were friendly & efficient however was a very pricey breakfast for what we had.
The owners were lovely however even with a reservation for afternoon tea made more than 24 hours in advance we were seated in a corner upstairs where it was uncomfortably warm and very noisy. Our tea was supposed to last 1 1/2 hours but we left after less than an hour. We didn’t finish our food but took what remained with us. We anticipated a quiet afternoon tea but the tables were very close together and it was we couldn’t carry on a conversation due to the noisy tables around. When we made our reservation we were told the toilets were located downstairs. They needed cleaning and smelled. Dietary restrictions: Vegan options were available.
Wonderful little gem, superb food, staff/service and comfort! We'll be back!!Food: 5/5
Needs a bit of a spruce up- the place is looking rather tired. Quiche was delicious however the cakes were a bit dry and for over £4 you'd expect a slightly bigger slice. Staff were very friendly though 22/2/23.Food: 3/5
My friend and I had a delicious Sunday brunch at this beautiful little hidden gem on the hill! I’ve been to this area many times and I didn’t even know it existed. The food was absolutely delicious, the desserts were spectacular and the atmosphere is adorable. The staff are so so so friendly and welcoming and their hospitality was amazing. Their whole menu just looks amazing and if I could, I would’ve tried a lot more! It was just simply delightful. Highly highly recommend
We went for breakfast this morning. Lovely friendly staff. Decent plant based options as well as full English. A lovely little place and not as expensive as I thought. We will be back. Vegetarian options: Vegan sausages, Avocado toast etc Lovely .
Was today there with two friends..I'm disappointed in the sandwiches very cheaply made.. butter with two pieces cucumber.salmon with butter..cranberry with brie..no cream cheese or anything else...cakes didn't feel fresh..very dry...later we could get a strong oil smell from the kitchen..like burned oil very strong and the smell..my friends eyes where burning so we left... expensive for what they serve and the quality...the table cloths..ohh my world..the cheapest you get on the market...sorry will not be going there again...parking you need to find as well .toilets not very clean...very disappointed...ouch my friends pocket..
If the rating were just based on the food it would be 4* but the wait time is a bit ridiculous. It took over 90mins to receive a sandwich and a scone. The sandwich was delicious - lots of tasty fillings. We also ordered a jacket potato that was tasty. The scones arrived fresh and warm and were delicious. On the whole it’s a lovely little tea room with street parking outside, it’s just a shame about the slow service.
Lovely aesthetic inside. However quality of food lacking. Absolutely do not order a flat white, not even close to drinkable
I paid almost 30 pounds for 2 breakfasts jacket potato and an American pancake breakfast with 2 hot drinks. I personally found it too pricey for the portion size and quality of food. The 1 star is purely for how the menu is designed. All the allergens are clearly labeled and vegetarian items are highlighted in green which is great! It's cute, but too homely - besides the floral theme the food tastes like a builders cafe... I'd rather go to the local cafe for a brunch. The price is purely based on the area and the decor of the cafe. Wouldn't reccomend it!
