Excellent authentic hotel in a beautiful quiet area. Spacious room with nostalgic character. Good bed. Nice bar with live music on Saturdays. Well-kept breakfast with various options in the menu. In the restaurant the soft pizza base was a disappointment. Furthermore, the starter and dessert were excellent. In the immediate vicinity sufficient options for dining. Value for money.

I was most impressed by the extensive handwritten menu at this classic and historic village pub. Yes this charming place has won Four in a Bed and you can see why. Dishes are remarkably affordable and delivered hot and steaming. Great conversation and a friendly welcome to all - not just the loyal stream of regulars.

The ravioli was amazing. I’ve been before and had it but I bought my partner back to try it because it was so good, best pasta sauce I’ve ever had. The staff were really lovely and wait times were really low, I’d definitely recommend to anyone. Kuba was really welcoming and friendly and made our experience better. 10/10

Definitely a local 'hotspot' rather than tourist destination in such a picturesque town. Lunchtime fare was limited bland defrosted scampi and nachos with cheap cheese and mayo. Chips, peas on scampi and jalapenos only highlights of the meal. Service was apathetic and slow despite minimal patronage consisting of a smattering of older folk drinking

Spend so much time visiting friends in this area and coming to the Dixie for drinks at a weekend so glad we stayed absolutely fantastic staff so friendly and helpful. Future bookings will now be with the Dixie when we stay. absolutely fantastic will always be with these guys now couldn’t recommend them anymore. The room we had was fantastic very comfortable also breakfast was excellent very delicious! 5  all round thank you guys at Dixie for your hospitality!
