Excellent museum packed with exhibits from the earliest divers to the modern day. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Loads of interest for children and adults alike, well worth a visit, plus loads of special events throughout the year, check their website for details.nnUpdate: currently closed whilst undergoing renovations. Opening mid 2025.
Absolutely brilliant! A rainy afternoon well spent talking to the most knowledgeable team! a small museum but brimming with interesting artifacts! Definitely go, even if you don’t know about diving. Car park right next to it and a lovely cafe as well. What a treasure trove! Ps - there are a few steps to get in, I was with a pram and two volunteers jumped up to help me carry it. They were all so lovely, they really wanted us to have a great experience.
What are simply amazing place we visited whilst visiting family and were amazed by how much is packed into this limited space and indeed the volunteers are its biggest asset we spent over an hour there and probably spent around half of the time discussing things with the experts that were there as volunteers. It's a true gem and worth a visit if you've never been then put it on your list.
Even if you are not into diving, this palce is absolutely worth a visit. The museum displays the history of diving, equipment, and methods of exploring the under water world.nnIt would be great to have a bit more on the more modern aspect of diving, but nevertheless it is a highly recommended place to visit. Great for all ages!
Interesting museum, small but manned by very enthusiastic volunteers who were very knowledgeable. Paid parking close by.
