Such a lovely place for dinner. Highly recommend. We had such a warm welcome from staff on arrival. Seated immediately, we had a tight timetable due to concert in the cathedral. They squeezed us in quickly. The food was beautiful, all burgers with various sides. We enjoyed the chicken burger and halloumi burger. Both came with paprika chips. Really great food. Staff were all so friendly, especially our male server, he fantastic and helpful. Thank you for your kindness and welcome. PS. Please allow tipping on cards as we had no cash and your staff are great.
Discover a fantastic pub that offers an extensive array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to suit every taste. The burgers here are not only delicious but also served promptly, complemented by fries that are exceptionally crispy and unmistakably fresh. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, enhanced by the spotlessly clean surroundings. The restrooms are impeccably maintained, stocked with plush paper towels and ample toilet paper, making every detail count. This place is definitely a must-visit and comes highly recommended for an enjoyable outing. Kid-friendliness: Great for kids
Great location for a deluxe / extra special burger. A step above normal ultimate burgers from other swanky bars and pubs. The burger is extremely large as well and most of the burgers come with a sweet potato fritter which the other people at my table were not a particular fan of as was overly large... I had the beef which did not include this and the taste was exceptional. Be prepared for the price mind as the burger with paprika fries is £16.5. oooouch. Good for a special burger treat once in a while. The restaurant itself is well appointed with views into the street in one aspect and to the rear you have the cathedral. Service was excellent and attentive throughout.
Really helpful staff with excellent knowledge of food intolerances. Most of the burgers can be adapted for the gluten and dairy intolerant. The only negative was the noise levels, would probably benefit from some soft furnishings to absorb the noise. Burgers were amazing!Food: 5/5
My visit was a delightful experience. The menu is rich, offering a diverse selection of burgers. I particularly enjoyed the customizable chicken burger and the unbelievably good lamb burger. The standout, however, was the unique and delicious CHIPS that accompanied the meal. Our waiter, Ed, was friendly and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. However, it's worth noting that the outdoor dining option, while pleasant in cooler weather, might not be ideal on sunny days due to weather and the presence of flies and bees. One minor drawback was the slightly longer preparation time, possibly due to the restaurant's popularity and crowds. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend giving The Dispensary Kitchen a TRY. It's a must-visit spot deserving of your day off or a special dining experience, with its exceptional food and service making up for any minor inconveniences.
The best burgers me and my mum have ever had. We had half each of the shredded chicken and beef brisket, they were both absolutely devine. I could not recommend eating here more. Even the chips were beautiful. 100% will return. These really just aren't any burgers !!!Food: 5/5
We had the lamb burger each. It was absolutely delish and huge. Would highly recommend. The hosts were lovely too.Recommended dishes
Really friendly staff, great staff and delicious food! We had the soy and sesame pulled pork burger, onion fritter, fennel, cabbage and spring onion slaw sesame mayo and paprika salted fries and the shredded chicken burger, bacon smoked cheddar, hash brown, tomato, chilli jam and paprika salted fries. No picture of the fries but everything was really tasty with great ingredient combinations. Great sized portions.
A lovely surprise find on a rainy day in Winchester. Absolutely delicious lamb burger, and everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Very friendly staff and lovely beer.Food: 5/5
Great food, great service with a smile and comedy and a lovely view of the cathedral. With the selection of burgers offered my wife and I struggled to choose. So we went for a shredded chicken, hash brown, bacon burger and also the halloumi, avocado and roasted pepper burger. We cut both in half and shared. They were both delicious and the fries were great too. While we were there a few couples who arrived and left without ordering. We were shocked by this as there is a menu clearly displayed outside. I would challenge anyone who says they don’t really like burgers to try this place. There is nothing but “burgers” on the menu but they are so much more than a burger and not one option conforms to a “standard beef burger”. Lastly, whoever decides the diverse playlist is a legend. Great music Vegetarian options: Great Halloumi, pepper and avocado burger
