We stopped for lunch on a boiling hot day. The choice of local produce was wonderful. Service was friendly and attentive. The dishes were explained well too. We ordered a selection of dishes between three of us. The carrots with whipped local cheese was delicious. The crab dish was also superb! I would recommend you visit and would definitely come back. Great work!
One of my meals of the year. I had expected a good meal, but I was blown away by the excellent, simple cooking and delicious ingredients at this charming restaurant. Everything was pitch perfect. It is fresh, light, extremely delicious and we'll judged food, with a strong wine list. I genuinely recommend everything but all the veg dishes in particular had a clarity that was just wonderful. Thoroughly recommended.
Wow.. What an experience! Source Kitchen definitely exceeded my expectations with its fresh and innovative food. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended for those open to exploring new tastes and combinations; sharing plates are the theme here! A gem in St. Ives
I couldn't be happier after our visit to Source Kitchen. The food was DELICIOUS, the service was great and the restaurant was very cozy. I was highly surprised by the quality of the food. The mussels were perfect, small but flavourful, as it has to be. The risotto blew my mind, very intense flavour and the rice cooked perfectly. The cheese with onion and chillies compote... Oh my god! Highly recommended!
There just aren't enough stars to adequately rate the Source Kitchen. The food and drink offerings are both unique and amazing. The owners and staff are not just friendly, but also manage to elevate the overall experience, with their passion for, and insights into, the foods they're presenting. Very much looking forward to my next visit.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Fantastic personal service, delicious food in delightful sharing plates to take you on an incredible culinary adventure! If you have one night to spend in St Ives then please come here and have the best St Ives has to offer.
We booked this place months in advance of our trip down to St.Ives and it did not disappoint. The quality of the food was exceptional, the mussels with Nduja were particularly good and tasted so fresh. The other stand out dish was the sea-bass with clams and samphire, it was full of flavour. It is not your standard starter and main set up, but we found the larger dishes arrived fairly close together and everything was piping hot. The roasted peaches with crumble and ice cream was the perfect way to finish the meal. We didn’t have wine, so the food bill was fairly reasonable and the service was seamless. All in all a refreshing and unique dining experience in the hustle and bustle of St.Ives.
Exactly what I wanted, welcome retreat to the tourist traps/hubbub. Simple decor and lovely presentation, fresh food served by a great bunch of people. Would happily go back!
Source Kitchen is a tranquil food heaven taking you on a journey of sophisticated flavours of well known Cornish staples. The dressed crab was fresh and zesty and the seabass was complex and a pleasure to eat. The tomatoes are amongst the best I've tasted. As you can tell, this place quickly won over me and my taste buds. I booked two additional meals here during my short stay in Cornwall and each time the restaurant outperformed the previous meal.
It's a shame that there are only 5 stars to choose from. I would award it much more. I had bubble and squeak and egg and sausage and my partner had Turkish egg. Both perfectly presented and tasted out of this world. Rob could not do enough for us. Both the chefs were fantastic. A unique experience. An extremely clean and pleasant place and very comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely return on our next visit.
