Had a lovely takeaway from this chip shop over a year ago and ranted and raved about how nice it was so travelled up from Lisburn several times and it was closed so whilst in the area at the weekend I was so pleased that it was open and couldn't wait to get a nice tea time treat HOWEVER before even getting my takeaway I experienced a rather rude member of staff who was very unaccommodating when I asked for something that it advertised on the board as an adults portion and I merely wanted a smaller version for my 6 year old daughter. I had requested this at the till and the girl was lovely however when it came to the girl at the fryer / packing end she was very disgruntled that I had asked for cod bites and not fish fingers, might I add that as she lifted a fish finger with the tongs it wilted and fell apart due to how saturated with grease it actually was . So after a lovely girl who was doing the actual frying, who was very accommodating, explained that she could make a smaller portion which was great and the rude member of staff turned her head it was FINALLY ready to collect my order and I couldn't wait... We got our order home and was a feast the bin got!! Everything was so saturated in grease to the point it was unbearable and tasted vile... Absolute waste of money and definitely will not be back not recommending to anyone and the only thing I would recommend is that a certain member of staff needs customer service training !!

On the 4/8 /23 I went into the Chippy at approx 6pm I clearly asked for a chicken fillet burger meal and a chip gravy stuffing with 2 bottles off Diet Coke.. when I went back to the car my wife says their isn’t a chip for you. When I went back to the chip shop I was told all I ordered was the burger and chip gravy stuffing with 2 cokes .. I was charged £19.20p for this and was asked for another £4.20p for a chip.. when I took that back to car to eat all I had was a bag full of hard chips which I threw in the car park bin.. bad enough being charged for chip but not able to eat it.. it has been my worst experience off eating out off any Chippy in N.I. and that is sad to say when trying to keep local businesses afloat .. I won’t be back nor recommending it to anyone..

I always order from the diamond expecting it to be like it was 10 years ago.. I don't know what has happened this place but it seems everytime you order something is missing or is wrong. So I've ordered a few times and its always wrong but I've never complained because I like the people that work here. But tonight I lost my patience and phone and granted i shouldn't of been rude but because I was so annoyed which i do know wasn't right but I asked the guy on the phone to call the order back to me before hand to make sure the order was right and it was.. so how on earth the chip and dips just disappeared from my order i don't know the reason for being so annoyed was because the last time I ordered my burger was wrong and saturated in cheese and grease the time before that the chips where half raw and when your spending upwards of £30/£40 at a time there comes a point where you wonder why your wasting your money but then to follow up I was sent a chip that was cold greasy.. it seems I'm not the only one to complain the last week and since there's no message on the actual fb page il posy it here.. its just disappointing and I'm aware i shouldn't of been rude on the phone but when your spent upwards of £100 in the last month or so for 3 order for it always to wrong I'm sure anyone can see why I was annoyed.. I hope the owners can see where in the problem lies and fix it because I would hate to see it close again.. but when your paying for something you expect some kind of a standard

Great choice on the menu, efficient friendly service - and value for money. Had a great meal for under a tenner, which I ate perched on a high stool looking out the window, watching the world go by. Will definitely return.Food: 5/5

Called in on our way to camping, and our experience was very rude staff also the fish & chips were greasy absolutely horrible £46 waste of money. New managent bring back the old one.

worst chippy in the town avoid at all costs, and unless you want sweated food because delivery time was over 2hours for a fishsupper and cheese bean and chip, actually had to leave the house twice and go into shop to see what was keeping the food, and all I got was bad manners from the girl at the other side off the counter. I WILL NEVER BE BACK THROUGH THE DOORS. ABSALUTE DIVE. food came and off course it was freezing. People paying good money for poor service and poor quality food. Disgraceful

I have been here twice. And both times there was something missing or given me something wrong. For an example. I asked for cheese, curry and chips. I was given beans, cheese and chips. I don't like beans so I was furious. Won't be going again. Their sister company jakes is a nice place to eat tho.

This is the second time over a 6 week period that I have got fish and chips from this chip shop and I can honestly say I have never tasted worse. There was practically zero fish inside the very hard batter. The poorest offering of a battered fish that I’ve ever had. To be honest, I really shouldn’t have gone back again after my first let down but I only did so because I thought anywhere can have an ‘off night’. But no, clearly it was not the case!!!!

Walked in and placed a small order. Sausage supper and Taco chip. Was told it would be 20 mins but waited exactly 40 minutes. Went straight home to eat and was not happy. The taco chip had no mixed peppers or cheese as stated on the menu, it was literally microwaved chilli flavoured mince with chips on top, as you can see from pictures it looked totally unappetising. Also ordered a side taco dip which wasn’t there either. Took it back and got my money back as it was not what is stated on the menu. Will not be back.
