The food was delivered to me between 3am and 4am and was left on my door step, when opening my box I realised that one of the meals that were sent was wrong, I emailed the detox kitchen and this was quickly resolved. 1st day I had miso corn bowl with flaked salmon, I really enjoyed this meal, I think slightly more salmon could be added but apart from that it was good. 2nd day I had the chicken enchilada lasagne, this meal wasn’t as good … it seemed as if the chicken was low quality and I think when I order again I wouldn’t choose this dish, I would recommend that the tortilla be packaged separately so it isn’t soggy. 3rd day I had king prawn with teriyaki aubergine which was soooo tasty, would recommend this dish. 4th day I had Penang prawn curry, this dish was mediocre, prawns were nice and soft though. 5th day I had satay chicken, flavours are amazing, think it’s one of my favourites. 6th day chicken and coconut dal, which I gave to my mum and loved it but left the chicken.
Did the delivery service a few years ago 2019 and loved it but it’s changed so much and it’s so much worse. The recipes don’t work - it feels like random ingredients that have been mixed together and they don’t taste good. It’s super expensive for what it is and I was very disappointed.
I really enjoy using Detox Kitchen! Although a little pricey, it's super easy to book, the meals come fully prepared and are always fresh & tasty it doesn't feel like you're cutting calories!. Many of the dishes can be eaten hot or cold and they seem to have taken on board my suggestions and improved the recipes and delivery packaging recently which is very much appreciated! I personally find it handy that they deliver in the night. As I live in a block of flats, they pop it in our nearest stairwell and I collect it each morning.Great for a little reset or boost if your dieting.
I have found all the food delicious as has my husband - very thoughtful recipes to make sure the meals are full of flavour, interesting and varied - and love the little cool bag that is left out for us each night. Highly recommend and am impressed by how much care and thought has gone into it all. Also delighted by the biodegradable packaging and free range meat. Highly recommend.
UPDATED: Their customer service head won’t speak to me and sends endless emails refusing a refund for services and products not delivered. This is horrible. Do not buy from this company - you will spend hours trying to resolve something you never received. If I could give them negative stars I would. UPDATED: Let down again - twice in a week. DO NOT BUY FROM DETOX KITCHEN AS THEY ARE UNRELIABLE. ORIGINAL: Shocking customer service. Great concept; nice food. Customer service is beyond terrible. Food doesn’t turn up mid way through a 5 day plan - no explanation, no attempt to make it good, just a refund. This is a real shame as I will not recommend this company to any one. Not worth the hassle.
Ordered two of the three-day detox boxes! Both arrived with no card or instructions and one with a meal item unfit for purpose. Contacted Customer service to ask if they could send out a replacement item so we could complete the three-day detox, not helpful at all, they replied to say they would not send out the missing item and refunded it instead! Never asked for a refund, it's sold as a three-day measured program, if you can simply omit items then does it sound that measured! Customer service and quality are shocking!
Buyer Beware: I ordered a 6-day meal kit which was left on my front porch and subsequently stolen/missing when I went to collect it at 7am. I reached out to The Detox Kitchen for rectification and they refused to re-send the missing package or provide compensation. I'm genuinely shocked and disappointed in their appalling client service. How am I being penalised for this? Not only am I out of pocket, but I didn't receive any of the food!
Ordered 2, 3-day detox plans so myself and my partner could both do the plan at the same time. Only 1 was sent that had missing items and when we called the only solution was to provide the missing box and items 5 days later. Shame as the food looks good and we were excited to complete the plan together,
I was very excited to find the Detox Kitchen offering a vegs box for delivery. Especially in the current situation when it is safer to stay home, I was very looking forward to receiving it. When I didn't receive it on the expected day but the next day, that was totally fine as I know how challenging this can be. - Then I receive the dressings with an end date on the same day for the delivery so basically either I ate them in the same day both or I couldn't enjoy it, so I had to throw them : -Then instead of receiving lentils and rice , I received two lentils ... - Then I didn't receive the bananas and that wasn't mentioned to me - I was expecting some cans and it wasn't there I communicated this with the detox kitchen who gently offered a £10 discount and then a £15 discount on the next order... On the next order, when they haven't been able to honoured the first one. I would have thought that the best after sale experience would have been to apologise and refund the customer of that amount. Why not taking care of the challenge your customer had on the existing order before even suggesting for a next order. Because what it means is that, I only deserve to be compensated if I order again from that shop. It's very disappointing because I really liked The Detox Kitchen offering.
