A travesty! First off nobody told us we had to order food from the bar and were sat wondering why nobody had taken our order yet. Didn't have sweet potato curry so was left with only one other vegetarian friendly meal option aside from sides. Burger came with coleslaw and chips, the chips portion was less than would be expected of a child's portion! Half the burger had obviously got stuck on the grill as there was a great divet missing from the underside of the burger... THE worst experience I've had from a pub lunch in my entire life. NEVER AGAIN! Cannot stress enough how deflated this whole experience has made me feel and for the price, the portion even if all the burger was there would have been some sort of a joke. As mentioned previously I shall NOT be returning here ever again
Came for a Sunday carvery, the gammon and turkey were great the beef was a little dry, the Yorkies were ok all the veg were standard carvery. But overall was a nice dinner.
Food was good but cold veg was dripping with water Sauce was lukewarm. The excuse was one chef had not turned up ,we had already waited a hour before being served,,a partie of 25 of us, We all had the same problem with the food and . Had it been hot it would have been beautiful. It will be a long time before I try it again.
Food was slow and not very nice. It's not particularly cheap so there's not really an excuse for serving limp brown lettuce with a quarter of a savers tomato as the garnish, the chips were OK and the burger was disappointing at best. The drinks were fine, the dessert was fine... But by the time everyone had been served most desserts were finished. Staff were friendly. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and big kids play area, didn't use these, but they are there!
Great food, staff very helpful and polite. Quick service and very attentive.Recommended dishesMixed Grill
A few menu items unavailable due to problems with suppliers according to a printed note which we found accidentally inside one of the two menus we picked up. The food was hot and tasty and very reasonably priced. Lovely decor and friendly staff.
First time we had visited this particular brewers fayre, first impressions was it was very busy and really noisy but once we were sat down everything was fine. Our meals were quick to come out and all of us really enjoyed our food. Already booked to go back.Food: 4/5
Where to begin……. I booked here for Christmas Day, HUGE MISTAKE! Service was poor we waited 40 mins for someone to take drinks order amongst other things, food was mediocre at best mashed potatoes were like instant mash, veg selection was minimal and it wasn’t particularly warm, staff had no clue what they were doing and there was clearly no communication between them. I paid £170 for the privilege and we ended up leaving without our desserts!! Extremely disappointed and do not recommend!!
Came here for dinner on my birthday as a little family outing. Four of us had starter, main, pudding and drinks for £35 with the two mains for 8.99 deal. Our two year old got to play in the big soft play/climbing area for the two hours we were there. Overall a lovely dinner out.Food: 5/5
Booked a table for 6 on NYE. Arrived early and sat in bar and waited for friends to arrive. Was seated when friends arrived by a very moody staff member. Was then told we couldn't order the 3 course for £14.99 as they wasn't serving it even though it was supposed to be including 31st Dec. Was given another menu with the 3 course option to be told again we couldn't have it. Staff were very moody considering it was NYE. No smiles or anything. Even Manager wouldn't crack a smile. Ended up ordering my kids 2 course from children's menu to be told that they couldn't have anything potato based I.e chips as one of their sides because they already had carbs with mac and cheese. I've never known anything like it. To finish my friend ordered fish and chips and the fish was rock hard and he was unable to eat it so ended up with peas and chips for his NYE meal. Absolute shambles and will be contacting head office about the service. Breakfast a couple of weeks before was no better. Will not be returning! This used to be a decent place but it has gone downhill fast past couple of months.
