The food is so good, been coming here for a few years and always impressed. The staff are also amazing, so friendly and attentive. I love how dog friendly the pub is too. We brought our retriever and he was also looked after! Will def be back.
Really cosy pub, with such friendly staff. I had the vegan bean burrito, which was absolutely delicious. They also had a good number of other vegan dishes, which looked tasty. Also dog-friendly. Would thoroughly recommend!
We had an awful experience here. Pub looked lovely and we wanted a light snack so ordered the nachos to share £9.50 and a bowl of cheesy chips. When the waitress brought the food, we couldn't believe the size of the portion of nachos for two people to share. The waitress confirmed it was the sharing portion and I informed her I didn't think it was adequate for two. The chips were also greasy and over cooked. When the waiter cleared the plates. He asked us if we'd finished. I told him it didn't take long to eat such a measly portion. I also told him the food was disgusting. The chef then came out and instead of coming over to our table was discussing what was wrong from some distance away. We explained the nachos tortilla was chewy. He disappeared and came back with a plain crunchy tortilla that he snapped in half. We told him with the cheese on top of it made it chewy and difficult to eat. They were also over cooked.I told him that I think he should try his own food. I understand that pubs need to make a profit, however I expect that food should be cooked to a far better standard and be better value than what we received.
Just had an amazing meal with the family. We had the Ham Hock Terrine which was home made, for mains, we had 2 Turkey dinners and I had the Pork Belly roast followed by the cheese board with a glass of Syrah. Great food, open fire and great staff.nWe can highly recommend The Crown Inn
This place is incredible and so welcoming! We came in with two kids and the staff could not have been more accommodating. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone and everyone. The food was amazing as well!
