We had a birthday meal here on Saturday. We were a party of 7. The food and service were amazing, a lovely varied Menu. I would highly recommend the honey roasted ribs, they are huge, but so tender and tasty. The food was extremely hot, as were the plates. I would highly recommend this Pub. Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic service, thank you. The only downside was we were all too full for dessert!!
Local idyllic country pub with traditional wooden beams.nGreat variety on the menu, so it was a tough choice before deciding on what to have for my birthday lunch.nBattered King prawn with sweet chilli sauce and salad too start, steak & mushroom pie with chips for main, apple crumble with custard to finish = stuffed to the gills.nPortions were generous and service awesome.nWe'll definitely be back!
We came here to take my mum out for Sunday lunch as this is our new favourite place to take her. We've been here a handful of times over the past two years. Unfortunately my mum had a dizzy spell while we were seated at our table. The staff could not have been more helpful. The first aid responder was the chef and he came out of the kitchen straight away and sat with her the entire time until she felt better. Fortunately she recovered well and there were no further issues but the chef stayed with her until my partner had brought the car round for her and we had left. 'Kind' does not cover the treatment we received.nnWe will definitely return. The staff are just so kind and caring.
Booked here for a 70th birthday meal. Table of 8 on a Saturday. We all arrived together and were seated quickly.nnAfter 20 mins, we decided to get our own menus only 2 available as we seemed to be sat at an invisible table. No sooner had we started looking at the menu, one of the staff came up and asked if we'd like to order! We explained that we had only just gotten our menus and could we have 5 mins. Should have known better!nnWhen we eventually caught one of the staffs eye after another 20 mins we ordered our food. After that, no problems. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Table was cleared in good time and desserts were yummy.nnAll in all, initially the service was poor but the location & food were great.
Wow what a lovely place.nWent to lunch with my son and daughter.nReasonable selection of drinks .nThe food was excellent plentiful portions, and the service was very good .nThe staff were very friendly and helpful.nWill definately visit again
