The Crown is an excellent place to stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room had been recently renovated to a high standard and was very comfortable. The bar offered a great selection of beers and wines, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed on a Saturday night, and the lively bar atmosphere added to the overall experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to The Crown for another stay.
Pretty disappointing on the food front. The beef was tough and chewy, the gammon would have been fine but it was so incredibly salty that over powered everything. Also when we walked in the bar area smelt of urine, all a bit off putting. Place has great potential, but not quite there
Came in today to try the New Yorkie wrap! The beef horseradish and stuffing all pulled together in an amazing Yorkshire pudding wrap! The staff were lovely and accommodating. Definitely worth the trip over to Uppingham to try!
We stayed at Topiary Barn to the rear of The Crown.nIt is a self-contained barn with gardens and secured private parking. Large enough for a couple.nHas everything one needs and is very comfortable.
Weekend in Uppingham seeing friends. Checked in early easy to find with parking. All staff helpful and friendly.Nice big room clean with tea and coffee facilities. Had a good breakfast nothing too much trouble thankyou.
