Didn't stay as staying with relatives, but there take away was highly recommended. Excellent fish and chips, nicely packed for transporting. Very large portions, chunky chips with a large slice of lemon, a container of peas and small pot of tartar sauce. Collected from within the pub, good service. The pub was pretty busy and the restaurant section seems popular, nice atmosphere and friendly.
Sunday roast - plenty of good quality meat no wafer thin slices friendly staff & good atmosphere. Could do with a little more veg per serving but that's a personal choice. Only downfall- Beware of the service charge says at your discretion but added to the bill and you may not realise if you do not read it properly before paying. Our £50 odd bill was raised to £60 odd.....

Stayed a night for a local Doctor Who convention, room was nice and had very good complementary items provided. Food was absolutely lovely and staff were very friendly. There was also a very cute dog wandering around. Would definitely recommend and would go again if I got the chance.
Stayed Christmas night. Lovely room, very clean & cosy. Great breakfast. Stayed here before & would do so again.
Comfortable bed, quiet location. Venison and mushroom pie was excellent, not normally a pie eater. Breakfast excellent. Nothing too much trouble for anyone, Alan runs an excellent establishment.Rooms: 5/5
A beautiful visit. Local ales, great food. Fantastic atmosphere. A local village pub.
Fantastic night away lovely pub in very quaint settings staff very friendly and attentive food was to die for thank you.
