Lovely time at the Crown. Amazing value for money. We booked on a whim last minute after hiking for a few days. There was no fuss and the room was spacious and the bathroom modern. There was no noise after 10:30pm on a Sunday and the location in the centre of Peebles made for easy walking to explore and eat out. The breakfast was fantastic and prompt and the service friendly and attentive. We might come back just for the hotel as it's been a rather charming and grand experience.
Popped in to the Crown last week for a Starter and Sweet. So glad we did. The food was scrumptious and presentation second to none. No wonder the Crown is one of our favourite Hotels for a lunch.
Sunday lunch which was simply the best. Excellent lamb, Yorkshire puds and vegetables. As it was so good, we called on Monday and tried the shepherds pie and smoked salmon salad. Again the food was to an extremely high standard. Thank you Crown Hotel. We had a 10 out of 10 time at your establishment.
Went over to this place for a late evening meal after a horrific experience at another pub across the road.nnStaff were extremely friendly and very quick, which was key after having such a frustrating experience at the other place.nnFood came very quickly, within 15 minutes of ordering and was absolutely amazingnnWould defiantly recommend and will be returning when I’m next in the area.
Great local Hotel/Pub, restaurant excellent, I had a cracking steak, best I've tasted in a while. Quick service as well, Ian looked after us very well, great host, Food great value and well cooked and presented, definitely worth a visit.
