I brought 8 cakes and 8 hot pastry type items from the Crown and Thistle Bakery. I almost forgot to take a photo because everything was amazing, the amount of cakes available was unbelievable and Normally that means some will be plain and boring but everything looked so amazing. From slices to doughnuts and cream cakes to cream scones the range was superb, the cupcake range looked amazing too with deals on buying multiple cakes.nnThe pies, sausage rolls and pastry were also very good. One item each would of filled everyone but we couldn't stop till everything was gone.nnWill definitely be coming back if we travel this way.
We have tried this bakery twice and both times haven't really enjoyed it, the chocolate cake wasnt great although my son enjoyed his chocolate eclair, they seem to go for quantity over quality with some of the cake items. The staff were nice enough and the prices are ok. Theres seats for eating in and limited on street parking as well as steps to enter
Can’t even get a breakfast right and for £15 it should be bang on and not missing items it’s not the first time this has happened. The food is normally great but when the prices are as high as they are everything should be spot on…… update , the driver is brilliant he said he would go down and bring me a fresh 1 witch he did. Opened the food and it was wrong again.
Went to get a butty today and they forgot my egg on my butty then I had to go back in and ask for my egg. Smallest egg in the world and half my Sasuage was missing looked like someone had taken a bite out of it. Won't be going back not the first time they have missed stuff of my orders.
This is a lovely little bakery, and the cakes/pastries are massive and amazing. For my first visit here, I was impressed by the selection of choices we had. Definitely would go here again. Might even be worth a trip out for the day as it's well out of town for me.
