Bit late as we ate here a couple of weeks back but this really is an excellent little place. Brilliant homemade food, good beer and friendly service. I had the steak pie, chips and gravy all homemade and it was simply immense. Loved every bite. I’d recommend coming here from as far as Rugeley if you’re in that area - it’s worth it. Also has a massive free car park to the rear unlike other places in the village.  Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options on the menu

Fantastic food at really great prices.  Bar staff are amazingly friendly and a breath of fresh air.  I shall definitely be returning.  The local folk that drink in the bar are also chirpy cheerful.  Five stars from me

Table of 6. Food was fantastic.  Steak cooked exactly how it was asked. Chips to die for. Only moan, my steak ,amazingly tender and full of meat pie could've done with some peas at least. Just pie n chips.  Looking forward to eating there again.

We've travelled all the way from Outback Australia to the Staffordshire area, and wanted to experience a typical Engligh Village pub, and this is exactly what we found at this place. Thank you to all the staff. The food was sensational and the service was exceptional Food: 5/5

Stayed in this lovely little village on a work trip and this great little pub was next door to the B&B. Very quick service and good food and drinks. Reasonable prices as well  the stilton sauce with the steak was rich and Food: 4/5

Met a friend in the village for lunch and decided on the crown. Had a look at the menu and there was lots to choose from. Barmaid/ waitress was lovely very helpful. Food was absolutely great and we even managed a pudding. I'd definitely come back for an evening meal. What a great find.

A very local pub for local people. Not very comfortable and I didn't feel very welcome there to be honest. I only had one drink so I cannot comment on food or other services.Service: 4/5

The best Sunday roast! I went once to see what all the hype was about and I was not disappointed. We’ve been back so many times since. Always end up with the three courses which is exceptionally well priced too. I’ve been craving the tomato soup. The beef is beautiful- my partner has had all three meets but I’m sticking to the beef. The Yorkshire puds are huge and so tasty. I honestly can’t fault it.  Parking: Parking around the back.
