Great local pub. Regulars are very welcoming. Good breakfast every served every morning from 7.30 until 11.30.nTakeaway food also in the hut situated in the carparknOur band played here and it was a fantastic night. We are looking forward to our return visit in September but will be there for breakfasts in between.
Very rude woman behind the bar. We were passing by, and my daughter in law who is 6 months pregnant, needed the toilet, we stopped at the petrol station down the road, and she was told they don't have a toilet. We tried the cross tree pub as we could not think of anywhere else to go before the motorway. She was told no by the women behind the bar unless she made a purchase. which I understand but a bit mean to treat a pregnant woman that way. She came out to get her purse from the car, and the woman behind the bar told her she had the vehicle number plate if she tried to leave without paying. She went back in and asked to buy some crisps or snacks but was told they didn't have any. The woman then sold her a £2.40 bottle of water she did not want. We would never consider going there again.
When I entered the pub hall I saw a very basic furnishing that didn't make a great impression at first sight. But this pub has a little gem - lounge on the opposite side to the hall. Very nice looking and comfortable.
Very pleasant pub, friendly staff and the cross trees ale is a smashing pint,I'll be back time and again
Didn't have food but a good friendly atmosphere and good staff
