What a lovely pub!! Wish it was my local. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Such a lovely atmosphere! The Sunday roast was really tasty and very well presented, we really enjoyed. We will definitely be returning.
Back in Kent for the weekend, promised my friends that we would get boots on the ground, to check out a suitable venue for us Christmas doo. Had been in before- a few years ago. Had a drink and scoped the place out. As good as I remember it. Nice homely feel, food looked as good as I remember and staff are warm and friendly. They have a sister pub, the Chaser Inn at Shipbourne, which also has the wow factor. We will not doubt book the part of the building called “ The Library”. As you can see from the photo’s, segregated and not a thoroughfare.
Well with a visit. Very clean and tidy, real fires in the cooler months. Food was great. Felt like the place was very well cared for. One of the best views from the gents I've ever experienced.
Had a super father's day meal out here in the Cricketers Inn today - excellent choice of food from a special set menu for the day and great service - Would highly recommend!!Food: 5/5
The Cricketers in Meopham is somewhere we've been many times before, and it offers a consistently good dining experience. We were a party of 5, having Sunday lunch as it was my son's 3rd birthday. The waitresses were attentive and professional, although I think 1 or 2 of them were quite new as they were very quiet and came across a little inexperienced, but that's fine they'll soon learn. We initially sat outside but there were quite a few wasps around so the waitresses kindly helped us move our stuff and plates inside. The food was fine, but perhaps not as good as previous visits. I chose the roast pork duo. It was meant to be pork shoulder and pork belly, but the belly was missing. It looked like they replaced it with a piece of pork stuffing, either that or they just forgot to put it on the plate altogether, but they didn't mention they'd run out and to be honest, I didn't ask. The portions were generous but everything could have done with a bit more seasoning. We had brownies and ice cream for dessert which was really good. The only other minor criticism I can have is that when I booked the table online it asked if I had any special requests. I asked if possible could they do something for my son's birthday but when we arrived there was nothing and they didn't mention it at all. It's only a slight criticism but would have been nice to receive a response or acknowledgement of the request, even if they couldn't fulfil it. To reiterate though, the staff were great, very friendly and well worth the service charge, the food was good enough and we'd go again.
New years day lunch, amazing well done to the team. Service faultless with a smile. Food amazing tasty hot and a great selection on offer. Warm friendly vibe. Can't wait to come back. Hope we can get a table after this review :
Polite staff, very clean inside. Wine was lush and the food was amazing! Very generous portions. Definitely coming back!
Had a lovely roast chicken dinner. The food was superb if a little pricey but well worth it. The service is attentive and friendly, and along with pleasant surroundings and calm atmosphere, it makes for a nice occasion. Would recommend this place to anyone.Food: 5/5
We rocked up on Saturday without a reservation and were very impressed. Staff exceptionally friendly and the food was excellent. This was a first time visit for us as we’re not local. Very reasonably priced menu. We will definitely returnRecommended dishesPrawn Cocktail
Was lovely to spend time with my family but unfortunately my food was very average. Cheese plate had a very cheap bland Brie and mild cheddar and they didn’t notify me there was no stilton. My champagne was expensive but cheap tasting. My daughters soup was average and small. The fish and chips my other children had was excellent 10/10. Hit and miss. Overall 6/10
