The staff were exceptionally friendly. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Our included breakfast was excellent with a very comprehensive menu.nBoth the bar and restaurant had the same menu and while it was fairly limited, the food was excellent with very generous portions. We ate in both, the bar and restaurant. Both were nice but I preferred the ambience in the bar. A good idea to book at weekends. Dogs are allowed in the bar, and the staff had a friendly welcome for them.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Craigie and it was so beautiful! The staff, the food, the ballroom, and the bridal apartment were all absolutely amazing! We had multiple meetings with Jamie to organise all the details for our big day and he was super accommodating and really supported us every step of the way! Thanks again to Jamie and the staff at The Craigie Hotel for helping us celebrate our special day!
Absolutely fantastic food, service and decor. A very comfortable environment for our early evening meal. The price quality ratio of the food is outstanding and the portions are generous. Also what a good pot of tea. I highly recommend this establishment
We recently stayed for two nights at The Craigie. It was excellent, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly want in luxury. Lots of free parking which was a real bonus.nAlready planning a return trip.
We had the funeral tea for my Dad here after the service at mortonhall. A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting, the buffet tea was delicious and they catered for all the dietary needs of the family, all the people who attended commented on how nice the venue , buffet & staff were. The young lady who was serving the non stop coffee/tea just seemed to float around the room keeping everyone topped up , thank you . Jamie was extremely helpful in keeping my right while arranging this sad occasion.
