I am facially disfigured and have a rather large prosthesis instead of a left cheek. I have to use a syringe to drink, dribble constantly, and cannot eat. I joined my family for a meal here to celebrate my father's life, and the wonderful waiter saw that I used my napkin to wipe away my dribble as I was drinking via syringe. Instead of me having to ask, he anticipated my needs and brought me extra napkins. This is the only time this has ever happened when out and about, and it made me feel so much more welcomed and accepted.nMy family thoroughly enjoyed their meals and said the food was delicious. It was well presented and the menu had vegan, vegetarian, gluten, and dairy free options. Everyone had happy full tummies, and it was a lovely way to commemorate Daddy's passing before my brother's family returned home to Madrid.nThe atmosphere was friendly and jovial, and the staff attentive and helpful. It felt like it didn't matter that I have such an obvious disfigurement, I was just another patron.nThis is the first time in 8 years, I've felt like this when out and we'll definitely be coming again.
It was a really nice pub and friendly staff. We were in a hurry and wanted to grab lunch. Ordered 2 dishes that could be served quickly so we could be on our way.nnSausage and Mash and Chilli Fries. Food was nice no doubt. But we had to wait nearly half an hour to be served.nnIt seemed that the place was understaffed and the team was just about coping. So their friendly and welcoming attitude was greatly appreciated.nnThere is parking on site, the menu is varied with restaurant and bar snacks options.nnGreat place, just go with time on your hands so you can enjoy the experience, atmosphere and the vibe.
Amazing first pub I ever frequented as an age teen. Still a lovely place to meet, eat family young and old and pet friendly what more do you need
Just returned with friends we had the chicken roast dinner and 2 desserts. The food was delicious, it was hot, tasty and plentiful. We asked for extra vegetables and the cauliflower and leek cheese. There was only positive comments around the table. The staff were polite, professional and not intrusive. We all felt that we had an excellent meal at a very reasonable price. Well done to all the staff in making our experience a pleasurable one
It is what it is. Great for larger groups or parties. Service is sometimes found lacking. Decor is decent with some individual ideas. Carpark is ample and a fair sized outdoor seating area. Not exactly a romantic or cozy pub.
