Simply the best food without a doubt in this area all food is locally sourced and delicious. The staff are friendly and polite they are always eager to help. If you haven't tryed this place I would highly recommend a visit you wouldn't be disappointed.
I enjoyed a birthday meal out with friends. The freshly made food was delicious. The server Jessica was lovely and polite.
Was recommended this place and I’m so glad I came. Lovely chilled vibe, warm, lovely cold beer and nice wine and ace food. I didn’t have to quibble to get a beautiful local steak cooked blue. Barman really nice and kind and made me realise how much I miss the north and the humour and friendliness. Such a nice place. If I lived here I’d be getting my wages paid directly behind the bar! Thank you! Vegetarian options: Saw loads but had steak Parking: Easy-peasy Dietary restrictions: I’m GF and there was a good choice
Wonderful local pub for food and drinks. Cozy atmosphere with friendly service. Good British staples and lunch specials. Suggest calling to reserve a table.
We visited for a family Christmas meal, the staff were friendly and helpful. The meal was served hot and in good time, we were neither waiting nor rushed. The food was hot, well cooked and presented. Typical festive seasonal vegetables, ok but not the best. The family's favourite course was the desert, gluten free lemon cheesecake and apple & mincemeat crumble with custard. Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled parking next to the entrance, no steps. Dietary restrictions: There was a gluten free option for every course, the menus are clearly labelled.
Popped in for lunch with my wife and was lucky enough to get a table during a clearly busy lunch period. Was served by Jack who was very efficient and professional. Food came out in a timely manner and was absolutely worth every penny. Will definately return with family in the near future. Nice nails Jack.
Lovely service and quite a range of items on the menu. We went for the afternoon deal, which is well worth it, though there's less to choose from. You can pick between 1, 2 or 3 courses. The staff were great. Will definitely keep visiting.Food: 4/5
Large Family Christmas Fayre Menu for 9 people... and I just wanted to review this beautiful public house/ restaurant just because credit, were credit is do... All the food from start to finish was lovely .. piping hot , all meats cooked to perfection... A Very friendly Service, could not fault it at all... Definitely will ve a regular place to eat from now on ... thank you ..and Merry Christmas xx
Food ok but nothing special. Service absolutely appalling. This is my second visit. The service was bad the first time and worse still the second. The amount of food, with the lack of service means the Christmas menu is very poor value. All food was pre-ordered but we still waited 40 minutes to receive our starters!!! The service didn't get any better. Some of the food was not that warm either. A member of the party had been the previous week with a group of other people and had the same issues. She had complained and received assurances that the issues were being addressed. From my point of view, nothing has changed. The one and only plus point was that, what few staff there were, were pleasant. I will definitely not be returning. There are places much more deserving of my custom than this establishment.
First time here a return is already planned. Food, great choice and tasted fab we had the lunch menu 3 courses for 16.25 full portions lemon cheesecake was fab Tobias our server was friendly and helpful. Well doneFood: 5/5
