Great Pub. Right in the heart of Burford town. It's definitely a locals Pub but with a friendly atmosphere. We walked in without booking and got lucky with a table but I do recommend booking in peak season.nnWe were both craving pub grub and it didn't disappoint. Steak and ale pie was fantastic. Service was great and I had a pint if Hawkstone sessions. Perfect.
Visited on a Tuesday afternoon for a meal for two plus one furry friend. Lovely atmosphere and very dog friendly. Food was incredible. We went for the chicken curry and steak and ale pie and both were unbelievably tasty, empty plates all round. Would highly recommend
We went to The Cotswolds Arms with my parents for dinner while staying in Burford. The meal was exceptional and it’s a truly lovely pub. The staff were all very friendly and really knowledgeable about the area with some great local tips for places to go. Myself and my husband had sausage and mash which was lovely and my parents both had the venison pie which was amazing. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!
Mostly a good experience. The setting is quaint and the food was hot with medium portions felt satisfied, but room for dessert or a large beer after eating.nnCritiques:nLong wait time for food over 30m for two dishes - consider ordering a starter to tide you over.nBacon on the 8oz burger was too fatty, the chips were overfried and small, the brioche bun was too crumbly from being toasted too much.
Really nice looking pub, servers were friendly and attentive. Food was a bit expensive but reflective of the location. Fries were great the steak sandwich was a bit underwhelming
