Great day out. Don't arrive too early otherwise you'll be hanging around outside as you are placed in queues according to your time slot. There is an option to buy tickets on the day if there are any left. Luckily we bought online with a discount code and got the star tour for the price of a regular tour. Upon arrival you will check in and be offered the option to purchase a guide book for £15. You can write a message or name and ask the actor on the star tour to sign it. There is a cafe and toilets available and you will be asked to sit and wait for about 10 minutes whilst everyone joins the group.nTour of the street first with a very entertaining tour guide. It's interesting to find out what goes on behind the scenes at the cobbles. You can go into one or two places such as the community centre/shop and the kebab shop. The houses are no entry but you can look through letterboxes. There are lots of opportunities to take photos and a photographer will take your photos outside of the rovers with an option to buy later the tour guide will take one with your mobile for free. At the end of the tour you make your way upstair to meet the actor. We met Beth who was lovely. You get photo opportunity tour guide again and then there is another queue to get autograph. On the way out is the coronation street experience display with a mock rovers bar where again a photographer will offer to take your photo.nGift shop at the end, has lots of memorabilia, but was a bit chaotic with a big queue making it difficult to see all items and one staff member serving.
My wife and I visited this weekend and have to say what a fantastic time we had. We stayed in the Quays the night before and it was just a short walk to the venue. Our tour guide David made this whole experience such a pleasure. I would highly recommend this to anyone whether you are a fan of Corrie or not We certainly are as it was so much fun and well worth the money. Thanks to everyone who works there for making our visit so special.
An incredible experience to have. Our tour guide was Callum, who was full of energy and continued to engage our Tour Group throughout. The video at the beginning of the tour was enjoyable to watch! We were also very fortunate to see Dev in his car on the car park that we walked across! All of the staff were extensively accommodating!
My partner and I had the pleasure of visiting the Coronation Street Tour on the rather typical Manchester day of the 23rd of March – the weather was as expected, with that quintessential Northern chill accompanied by a steady drizzle. Nevertheless, the dreary weather did little to dampen our spirits, for what awaited us was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.nnFrom the outset, the process was seamless; checking in was a straightforward. It was immediately apparent that the building hosting the tour had been purpose-built with visitors in mind, boasting a modern design that felt welcoming and entirely fit for purpose.nnWhat truly brought the experience to life, however, was our guide David. He struck the perfect balance between humour and insight, demonstrating an impressive depth of knowledge about the world of Coronation Street that both informed and entertained us in equal measure. His witty commentary was the cherry on top of a delightful couple of hours spent exploring the iconic setting.nnThe tour gave us a fascinating peek behind the curtain, combining nostalgia with a fresh perspective on the show’s production. It was a brilliant way to spend the afternoon and we would heartily recommend it to anyone, whether you're a die-hard fan of the show or simply looking for an enjoyable and unique experience.
Coronation Street holds a special place for many people, and was certainly something I remember always on when I was growing up. So it was amazing to actually walk the historic cobbles, albeit on a set that was built in 2014. What is fascinating is the attention to detail to ensure the place is as authentic as you'd expect something that has always been there.nOur tour guide Julie was amazing, answered all our questions and her knowledge of the show was impressive.nI'd totally recommend this tour.
