Definitely one of the better Spoons pubs I have visited.nnGood selection of beers and great prices, as you would expect. Didn't have food here so can't comment on it. The staff were friendly and helpful and I had a short chat with a lovely young lady behind the bar.nnNot too busy, but that could just be because it was a wet Thursday in January.nnWould be more than happy to go back.
What a massive difference in the last 3 months. It has got so bad. The place is a mess...n- Food was cold and not fully cooked through.n- No sauce available at the time.nFood and rubbish just left on the floor for people to stand in. Was not moved for our entire visit.n- Empty bottles of sauce left on show, no full ones in sight.n- We had to move the old plates at the desk as almost all available tables had plates or glasses left on them.n- Staff just standing around talking while food on the counter gets cold.nnWhat has happened? Why is it so bad now? We came early afternoon at 14:30 so maybe they were just more relaxed at that time?
Visited here with friends and family. We had a fantastic time talking over dinner the food was top tier service with a friendly Northern smile. Coffee is bottomless so kept refilling. It was a quiet evening when we went it was on a Wednesday. They do deals on food all week each day is a different deal. Would absolutely recommend.
A classic Wetherspoons…very spacious with two levels. We all had burgers and a drink which.we’re very reasonably priced - discounted on a Tuesday night.nNice pictures throughout of various political and historical figures associated to the area.
The food was awful I got a spice bag and it came without the red onions and the chillies, the curry I received was very cold and the whole meal was cold too. The burger was nice they put hardly any salad on it,chips were freezing. Would not eat here again.
