A classic Wetherspoons…very spacious with two levels. We all had burgers and a drink which.we’re very reasonably priced - discounted on a Tuesday night.nNice pictures throughout of various political and historical figures associated to the area.
The staff were friendly. A waiter went out of his way to get me a jug of iced water and a glass as I was thirsty in the heat.nI went with some colleagues and we had brunch and curries. Fast service and the normal Wetherspoons fayre. You know what you're getting and it's good value. The nice staff helped too. It's a nice big place too, plenty of seats with an upstairs and outside seating too.
This was a brilliant pub for drinking, with a design blending modern with old properly especially the red lighting on the ceiling of the first floor! Counter is stylishly presented and the leather seating is nice, where I had a pint of Corona Extra.
Very large wetherspoons with 2 floors and has a lift as well food was great as usual would recommend
First time in here when I was visiting Sunderland and I can honestly say it's one of the best Wetherspoons I've ever been in. Really good layout over two floors with a really modern design. Nice mix of people for a midweek. Usual Wetherspoons range of drinks. Great bar staff. Good music, which you don't always get in a Spoons.Highly recommend.
