I have stayed at The Commodore on two recent occasions for work and the service and welcome has been exceptional. Always greeted with a smile, spotless in all areas, attentive bar and dining service, wonderful food! And a beautiful location.Rooms: 5/5

What a wonderful location, staff couldn't do enough to make our stay go well. Gluten free options for me also. Lovely views, amazing setting. Also had lunch here almost a year later and it was great. Wonderful food and ambience.Rooms: 5/5
We had a family reunion of fourteen for five days that absolutely exceeded all of our expectations! The Commodore is family owned and operated and made us feel like their family. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The food was first class and service impeccable. Located on the shores of Instow Bay, the sunset views were spectacular. We plan to make this an annual event. Thank you Gary and staff.
Delightful hotel in gorgeous area with magnificent views across the estuary to Appledore. Super breakfasts with attentive, personal service. All areas of the hotel were well presented and spotless - lovely attention to detail. We would love to come here again soon.Rooms: 5/5
Have stayed here twice in the last year or so. Both times in the winter on a bed, breakfast and dinner rate. The value is unrivalled, food was excellent on both occasions and the service is so friendly and relaxed.
A beautiful family run hotel, staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and the setting, well I'll let the photos paint the picture. Well worth a visit if you're in North Devon.Rooms: 5/5

First time here, very impressed with this hotel, the staff are excellent and the evening meal menu is wonderful. It has a superb view across the estuary and the beach is just across the road. I would recommend it to anyone.Rooms: 5/5
Very well maintained gardens, tasteful front of house, friendly , helpful staff, spacious rooms which are very clean , great views if choosing a sea view lovely breakfast in a restaurant setting. Stayed in some of Devon’s supposedly prestigious luxury hotels which could learn something from the Commodore
