Lovely hotel located on the quay. We had a balcony room so it was nice to sit out in the evening. The food is good. Would recommend. Walking distance to Ridley park as well which is great especially in summer. Lots of play equipment for kids and water fountains. Rooms: Good size Comfortable bed Nice hand soap Clean Nearby activities: Ridley park Blyth beach Town center Food & drinks: Very good breakfast. I'd recommend the eggs royal and eggs Florentine! Plenty of options to choose from. Dinner is really nice too.
*Would have scored much higher had the accessible room been better. Our non-accessible room was good for our needs- lovely big bedroom and huge comfortable bed. My parents’ accessible room was not fit for purpose. Unfortunately, they were allocated a ‘step-in’ bath, instead of a walk-in shower. My Dad could not be showered. When I raised this with staff I was told that the other accessible room was occupied and would be for several days. I highlighted the need for staff to be aware of disabled access. The staff member said she would contact her line manager and then get back to me. Nobody did. This issue was disappointing. This is the first time I’ve had to book a holiday for a disabled person. I need to be more aware of making sure we get what we need. We had a great time discovering the local area from the hotel, though. The breakfasts were great. Deco was attractive. Music was pleasant. We would stay in an Inn Collection again if I could guarantee my Dad had the correct room for his needs.
Bar staff were absolutely lovely. Food was average at best. Overpriced for the quality, apart from the chips which were very nice. I've attached a recipe for tzatziki because the chef seems to need some basic cookery instruction.Service: 3/5
Popped in for Sunday lunch today with my sister and daughter. Two had the carvery and one the pie of the day. The pie came with a generous portion of yummy chips and a pile of fresh vegetables. We couldn't fault the carvery either; nicely presented, fresh, hot, tasty and lots of choice. Definitely value for money. The man who served us was just great; lovely and friendly as were all the staff who we came into contact with. Thank you for making our visit today really pleasant.
First time in Blyth, with an overall positive experience. I stayed over for a single night whilst busy exploring the area. The location was interesting as it was on the further and quieter end of the harbor which was actually a really nice surrounding. The room itself was relatively large and comfortable. Whilst there was a sea view, it was more looking at boats coming in as opposed to any beach, though I did actually enjoy this as it was peaceful. The room was very quiet despite having a pub/restaurant downstairs. I ate dinner and had breakfast here, both of which were really good and rather inexpensive. Staff were always very friendly and accomodating. I enjoyed the self service check-in/out as this was very convenient and efficient. The rate I felt was quite high for the area but this was the only hotel for that matter that had en suite bathrooms. This might be franchise set prices - never been to one of the Inn Collection properties before. Saying that, I still found the stay extremely pleasant and wouldn't mind staying at another one of their properties in future.
We spent 3 lovely nights and afternoons/evenings staying here. So comfortable, really excellent rooms. Great location. Really Friendly staff and brilliant food. Nothing but good things to say. We will be back again next year. Cracking!! Rooms: Roomy, comfortable and well equipped. Food & drinks: Brilliant. Very good choice and quality. Didn't bother looking for anywhere else to eat for our entire stay. Really good .
We ate at the pub, but weren't hotel guests. Based on our excellent visit to the pub though, I'd definitely try the hotel. The quality of both food and service was great, and we really loved the pub's atmosphere! What a gem! We'll definitely be back, and oftenService: 5/5
Visited here 16th August 2024 for a meal With family, the service was appalling, and the food was questionable. We waited an hour for food to come, the piri piri chicken was bland, the game burger was swimming in oil, I spoke to a waitress who smiled and walked away. Won’t be back a very over priced establishment and the food was poor, weatherspoons is better Food & drinks: Over priced crap
We dropped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Hadn't really planned to, but glad we did. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with staff who were just as relaxed, but very attentive without being intrusive. The menu was very good, but not so if you have a gluten intolerance. The menu had a QR code to scan, which opens a menu for allergies. This wasn't ideal and to be honest, I gave up trying to figure it out. Shame, as it did sound like there was potential there. However, the food we did have. A partridge satay with salad was excellent and very enjoyable. We didn't stop over, so can't really comment on the rooms, but if they are as good as the bar I gave them 5 stars. Apparently, a buffet style Sunday dinner is served, believe it or not, every Sunday. Would we come back? Most definitely. Probably on a Sunday! Noteworthy details: It is dog friendly.
Worst burgers ever. Tasteless, overpriced and a complete rip off. Bar service about as welcoming as a brick to the head. Feel completely ripped off at 15 pounds a portion - which were stingy to say the least. Won't return as looking at previous reviews, the company gives a generic review saying they will feed it back to the kitchen team but the same issue arises over and over again. Someone needs to give their head a wobble
