My partner pre bought tickets for our date in Manchester and for a couple that has never been to a comedy club like this it was amazing. We have 3 comedians which were all fab and the host was funny as. Defiantly worth it. Location - This was really hard to find. We went to the location on google and it was not the right place at all. We thought it was next to revolution which is wasn’t and was about 20 mins Uber away. We nearly missed the first act. We also got okay seat near the bar. If you want good seats definitely get there early. The location is in a bar called Bierkeller. Drinks - We got two steins that lasted the whole show. The price and quality was great. Stein of beer was like £13 each. Comedians - The act was great. 2 acts first then a small break. Followed by the last act which was great. My only complain is it said on the tickets there was going to be 4 but that includes the host. Yes he does a little bit but felt like a small scam. Also they only lasted like 20 mins each. They were soooo goo dam funny but please make it last longer.
Visited here three times now. Twice on a Friday eve and recently on a Thurs eve. The Fri eve has it for atmosphere and size of audience!! Thurs eve was lacking in both. Each time I have been part of a group on a package of entry, 2 course meal and reserved seating. Good value for the money. Good night out.
Stay away if you can’t keep your mouth shut . We got thrown out for talking. Asked to speak to the manager who refused to give his name. Small person who looked about 16. We also paid over 200 for a group . Never again
Awesome night out! Great food, drink and service from the staff and a top selection of stand up comedy from some great acts! Well worth a visit it you haven't already!
Great Sunday night out for cheap at new stuff, where comedians try out new material. There were 8 comedians total, and all were excellent, even when they couldn't remember their material! The only thing I was annoyed about was that I went with someone with a walking stick who needs a seat, and so we arrived at 6pm the stated doors open time for the 7.30pm show to ensure we got a seat for him as there's no seat reservations as we had no idea how busy it was going to be. Turns out the doors for the theatre don't open until 10-15 mins before the show, and only the bar area is open from 6 so it turned out to be a waste of time. Plus the place was less than 1/4 full in the end so we felt a bit dumb. Anyway we just got a drink and hung out in the bar area, but we would have rushed less before hand if we had of known.
Very snug seats, expensive drinks, and frustrating patrons constant interruptions as people squeeze past you and obscure your view to get drinks and then need the toilet they can't seem to wait 15-20 minutes between sets. It's like a mexican wave of the bladderly insecure. The performers were excellent and very funny. The host was engaging, warm and personable. I would highly recommend and will come again.
I went here on Good Friday with friends for a 50th Birthday. The venue is a Bierkeller, so basically long benches like a pub bench We were running a bit late so had to try the food on offer in the Bierkeller. I ordered Currywurst, one had a Pizza & the others had Bratwursts. The pizza was quite small with minimal toppings. The Bratwursts looked ok My Currywurst....well I don't know as I didn't receive it Ordered at about 7:30pm, I then spoke to a man at the bar at about 8pm to see where it was. He said "give me 10mins I'm serving these people" 8:45pm I went back to the bar & spoke to the original order taker to ask for a refund, she said I'll get the Manager. Guess what...the "Manager" was the chap I spoke to 45mins earlier... his response was " I forgot " I asked for my refund which he duly did. So for food it's 0 Stars . The actual comedy was ok, first act was good, second ok & the third was brilliant Brennan Reece but no better than a local comedy night. So a decent night out with friends in Manchester ended with me in McDonald's as I was starving, not the best. I think The Comedy Store is let down by the venue
Nice place. Good food, great drinks selection, staff were excellent and courteous. The acts we seen were very good. With a good mix of styles. The venue is ample space, nicely decorated and well furnished. With food and drinks also available in separate areas, and the stage separated again, it has a great use of space. The bar is great size and there were adequate number of staff serving. Such a great night. Would heartily recommend it as a great night out!
Ola was amazing and truly hilarious especially being my second time with him on the set list. Wife wanted this picture when I bought his DVD .
Great venue, beer was a bit tangy to start off with, clean and a large bar so you're not waiting to long.
