Weekend late brunch time! It was open for charity so not really busy. I ordered salmon beagle my husband ordered sausage roll with salads. All good was fresh and tasty I think they used fresh veg and meat. Salmon bagel was fresh too! We had a good little relaxing brunch and my husband said this America-no coffe is the most tasty ever. Rich and full food brewing and staff are all friendly and toilet and seat are clean. We will be back soon :
After walking the grounds of Hatfield House, our last stop was the Coach House Restaurant. Lovely restaurant, good service, was very quiet but likely due to train strikes so imagine other times could be extremely busy. The food was excellent!
Prestigious location, and pleasant atmosphere within the restaurant. The Sunday roast was very tasty, and a good price, although the portion size was too small. 2 potatoes is not enough! Parking: Free parking
We went for lunch on Saturday, it was quite busy and so the food took a while to come. The staff were very apologetic as they were experiencing a delay due to the chefs also catering for an event. The food arrived and was very pleasant and delicious. The manager who was very kind gave us a discount on the food because we had waited for a while which was so thoughtful. Will definitely go back the cakes and sandwiches looked yummy so will give them a try next. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully, wonderful ambience, family friendly and there are plenty of places to sit.
Hello , With the start of Spring , We thought we would have lunch in Hatfield . I do not post many reviews on here, but feel I want to praise this fine restaurant . We were greeted by a friendly , smiling lady , and shown to a nice table . It was not a very busy time , which was nice for us . We had lovely Wild Mushroom starters , Then I was very impressed with the Roast Beef main course . The meat was very nice , The selection of fresh vegetables was also excellent . The Drinks selection was appropriate. The staff were friendly and as attentive as was needed . The ambience in the Coach House grounds is always a pleasant experience . With the fair weather , and pleasant day , We had a really enjoyable visit to this Restaurant . I recommend it to all. We then visited the ancient Church , which is adjacent to the Banqueting Hall... The Vicar was there and gave us far more historic information . Overall , we had a wonderful day . To the Management and the Staff , I say , Many Thanks ....Keep up the Good Work!! With Kind Regards Martin
Really lovely location and venue. Staff is great too. The sandwiches I often find are quite dry and the breakfast a little disappointing. I feel like 95% of that could be solved by getting some fresh, quality bread in every morning though. If they were to change that up, I'll certainly be around even more than I am now :-Food: 3/5
Afternoon tea was fabulous. Fantastic finger sandwiches that were of a very high quality and perfectly executed. The pork pies were exquisite, especially the chutney that was formed on the crust - simply delicious. The cake selection was again of a very high quality and a nice range of sweet options. This coupled with 2 glasses of prosecco and very fresh tea - as good as it gets! The table was fantastic, allowing us to people watch & the service was super attentive. They made our Mother's Day a memorable one, & for that I am truly grateful. Well done everyone involved. And of course ill be going back for more ASAP!
Fantastically accommodating with our last minute reservation and superbly quick service. We ordered lamb shank and vegan roast and they arrived in sub 10 mins. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed lovely Sunday roasts. We will be back. Thanks!Food: 5/5
I'm a loyal customer there and I go weekly to dine in but beautiful places like this are compromised by rude staff members. Yesterday, Sunday 2nd of April, I went with my friend to have lunch there, I usually love the place but yesterday the manager there was extremely rude. A girl with brown hair, no uniform, British, not sure of her name. We sat at a table with our coffee and after 15 MINUTES of being there she comes and says "you can not sit here this table is reserved" but there was NO SIGN on it and I asked, " where can we move?" and she proceeds to say " I don't know". She didn't even offer herself to help us move to another table or at least prepare a table for us. Are we supposed to drink our coffee outside or on the roof?? Her mistake is not our problem, we paid to be there and we made her a favour because we moved, however, she still felt entitled to mock us. My friend is dark-skin and felt very hurt and excluded and blamed herself for this because most people around were white and seemed to have special treatment so I went and spoke to the manager. No solutions or explanations were offered besides a false apology and blank stare. She proceeded to speak to another colleague, a male, her version of the story and he took our order with attitude too, ignoring our requests or concerns. We had our things, and coffee around, there was no "reserved" sign on the table and she basically just wanted to get rid of us to make space for other customers. She did the same with another group of 6 people that had to move their whole food with plates, drinks and bags but probably she had a better approach because they were older. Ugly behaviour, uncaring and entitled. Overall BAD customer service from the managers, rest of the staff are lovely and very polite, however, they don't look happy to work around such people and I understand why. 1 star
Appreciated that it was busy and we were informed there was a wait to get a table HOWEVER twice people simply walked round and sat at a table without queuing up. I asked them if they had reserved and I was told that since they have a lack of staff people just sit down where they like. Perhaps having a proper booking system or corner off that area away. Also they need more staff.
