Welcome to Coach & Horses Restaurant, Hotel and Bar! We are based in a beautiful picturesque village called Bolton by Bowland.

Story

In the middle of Bolton by Bowland in the Ribble Valley, an area of outstanding beauty, stands this beautiful Grade 2 listed Inn. Closed for years, the elements have had their destructive ‘fun’ with it.

The owners knew this area as they rented a holiday cottage nearby several times.

When the ‘for sale’ was on the tired façade they did not hesitate, purchased this gem and started making plans to create a hotel, restaurant and bar with the intention to put the Coach & Horses back on the map in the Ribble Valley.

After 9 months of intensive work, creating 7 beautiful rooms, a copper clad bar, cosy restaurant, new kitchen and beer garden they reached the end of the project and the Coach & Horses opened its doors to old and new friends. The in-house microbrewery complements the artisanal approach to restore the Coach and Horses in its old glory.

The owners and staff sincerely hope that their guests will appreciate the efforts and have the same warm feelings whether they stay for a drink, a good night’s rest or a delicious meal.
