Beware of this store if you have an assistance dog!nnMy daughter just visited this store with her documented assistance dog. She was confronted by one of the staff members, she showed the assistance dog's paperwork but sadly this wasn't enough for the member of staff in question. They demanded to know what her disability was and made her feel very uncomfortable in front of customers and members of staff. I feel additional disability training is required, also a touch of empathy for those less fortunate than themselves would be appreciated.
There is a great deal of litter in the car park at the front in the car park immediately outside of the store. Please pick it up !nI know you have two bins but some customers are not using them!
Seeing how I don’t work there anymore I can give you an insight. The people who do the bakery wear no PPE. All the bread is loaded onto the dirty trolleys we use for delivery’s and for the ovens. no cleaning If bread is dropped on the floor it’s cooked and put on the shelves still. Hygiene wise people with black nails and no gloves handle the bakery. Enjoy your croissants
Popped in. Rarely use it. Seems ok. Nothing bad and also nothing to ‘write home about’. Service was functional.
Many years ago this store belonged to Alldays and it was acquired by the Co-Op when that company failed. It has a good supply of basic fruit, vegetables, sweets, groceries and drink and is open till 10.00pm every evening of the week.nThere is a post office available all day till 5.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and till 1.00pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is a small car park at the front which is usually sufficient for the casual shopper.nThis little store provides an essential service to the residents of Stone and the prices compare favorably with those available in most supermarkets.
