Waiters were nice and friendly. Toilets were clean. The portion sizes were, I think, average. Food was good not great. The restaurant has a nice clean airy feel. Everything was good. I wouldn't say anything was amazing or great. Its a good solid Indian restaurant. Only down side was I got a flat coke.
Really disappointing! The vegetable curry was so runny and hardly any vegetables and the Korma and Masala had more sauce than chicken. My last order was poor but I foolishly gave them one more chance as they used to be so good. Not anymore! Shame.
Yesterday i came in for a curry. The food was pretty good although this waiter called jasper slipped over and dropped hot curry all over himself. After which his cheeks went bright red with embarrassment. It was hilarious. at least i got a cheeky 20% off
We ordered a takeaway and it we found it to be really bad quality. The onion Bahjis were almost burnt, the pilau was just boiled white rice with bits of red whatever? The curry sauce was just like green sludge. We also had the lamb pasanda where the meat was tough and overcooked. If you’re looking forward to a decent curry I would avoid this place!
This is not the beloved Clove we once knew. This is a different supplier working out of a kitchen in Redhill. Food was very disappointing. Chicken pathia tasted like it was made with a jar of uncle Ben's sweet and sour! Avoid
I ordered it for delivery, salad came in a plastic bag. Let me repeat that, a PLASTIC BAG, you know of one those cheap 5p single use bags you can get from a supermarket. I rang the restaurant to double check if what I wanted was vegan, then I placed the order, sadly it came with some sauce which I knew nothing about, and it looked like some sort of garlic sauce with milk as a base, not cool. The curry I ordered was mostly water with only a few vegetables in it, I also ordered two samosas, I got four tiny ones. The samosas are OK, but the menu is misleading, I wanted 2 regular sized samosas, not 4 mini ones. The tandoori roti was very bland and dry. I would ot recommend this as a takeaway meal or delivery option, unless you like eating your food out of a plastic bag.
Just got a chicken tikka mosalla delivered and it was the worse curry I have ever had. The rice was all stuck together and was very stodgy and wet. The chicken tikka mosalla was bright yellow and tasted like coconut juice. It was absolutely horrendous. I can't beleive that a business that serves curry can't make rice right? We phoned them and they didn't offer a replacement only a refund so they didn't want to rectify their mistake. Such a disaster! Will never order food from this place again.
Ordered Dal Tadka, Masala Dal, rice, onion raita, chapati and garlic naan. Garlic naan tasted like very chewy garlic focaccia bread with a rubber-like texture. Both the dals were pathetic, the only thing which tasted good was steamed rice. You should pay back the money we paid. Though delivery was on time but sorry to say the food was very disgusting.
Horrendous: The takeaway curry I had 13/07/2018 from Clove made me extremely ill for over a week! After sending off a test, I was diagnosed with Campylobacter with all symptoms and timings pointing to this takeaway. The likely cause was that the meat was undercooked or that the meat was handled unhygienically. Unsurprisingly, they only have a hygiene rating of 3/5. Not Happy. Do not eat here. It is not safe. Food very good, the coffee was great, excellent service, the interior okay if not too special. Plus good value for money. That is worth 5 stars.
