Went to this venue for a wedding and the place was lovely! Staff are friendly, and the interior is beautiful. Decent parking options nearby within a 5 minute walk.Service: 5/5
My daughter and son in law chose this venue for their wedding. What a lovely building and the rooms were beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly, helpful and thorough and transformed the main room from ceremony to wedding breakfast to evening party. Reception area and bar available during transitions which all went smoothly. On site accomodation was really nice and spacious. It was a wonderful day.
Perfect venue for a wedding. Love the light that comes through the ceremony room and there's so many places within the venue and outside to have some beautiful photos! Just brilliant. Have done a couple of weddings here now and been to a few parties. Highly recommend! @shelleycostellophotography www.shelleycostello.co.ukRooms: 5/5
The portions of food were a little on the small side for an event. I was left hungry even after dessert. The room was beautiful we sat in. The chairs were a little old and wobbly. The bar downstairs ran out of Guinness and a few other drinks within the first hour and a half. Would visit again.
The ambience is so nice. I went there to attend a career fair. But more than the career fair the antique looks and interiors attracted me more. Heavenly and luxurious feel inside. The stairs in the entrance were especially welcoming us with a majestic smile.Hotel highlightsLuxury, Great view, Romantic
Nice period building. Attended a family wedding, did not stay. There is NCP car park about 5 mins walk from here. Please be warned that the car park shuts at 6:30 pm written in small printLocation: 3/5
MINUS STARS NOT EVEN ZERO STARS!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! This premises should not trade as a hotel, it should not trade in the hospitality sector at all!! You are never assured a room even if you book a year in advance because they might book a wedding or any other function and try to bully you out of your room, if you refuse they will cancel your booking and blame it on you, I don’t know who would want to get married or have a function at this hotel anyway, it is a rough hotel in a rough area! Worst service ever, a place that needs to go out of business as soon as possible and I hope it does as it “severely impacts” the local economy when nobody wants to visit Leicester because of the dog rough place!
Visited the City rooms for Mothers day Indian afternoon tea. Food was very tasty. Had mango lassi, champagne and masala chai. Staff very welcoming and polite..Decor inside was very nice. Walkability: No parking at site but there is roadside parking for mobility users and a shopping centre car park nearby
Excellent venue, however the staff not so excellent. I booked my engagement here, but unfortunately it was made difficult due to too much red tape involved a lot of which wasn’t mentioned when I signed the contract. If you’re after an aesthetic hall, with great features then go for it but be aware that it’s not all roses and daisies.
Lovely big and spacious rooms but had to have the window open as it was so warm and the nearby clock chimes every 15 mins. Also had very noisy neighbours in the room above throughout the night he clearly had some stamina lol. Loved the big corner bath in the room and also the extra facilities which included a coffee machine and fridge. Great central location and a good pub just over the road.
