Lovely fish supper and single sausage. Was cash only when we visited. Had a short wait but food was fresh and nice and hot. Couple of picnic benches outside to sit at.
Dinner saver when many restaurants are temporary closed during low season of November. Price is ok as is the portion. Taste is standard. Cash only if less than 10 pounds
Pretty small portions for takeaway, but ideal if you’re just eating off the picnic tables outside. Very run down, but does the job. Went 2 different eves during a holiday visit. Chips are good, mains seem a bit processed but tasty, fish is pretty small. 4/5 stars.
the worst fish and chips that we’ve tried until now in Scotland. the chicken breast is almost the entire chicken fried, with bones and no seasoning at all. old oil, without any salt, lemon or dip, just ketchup and mayo, the sachet ones. the attendant was very rude with us, unfortunately we insisted in eating there and everyone regretted.
I came to Skye boasting of a fish supper to my girlfriend that it was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life unfortunately it turned out to be an Indian takeaway now just after the Skye bridge. But hopeful and faithful I was sure we could find a lovely fresh fish and chip shop in Portree. Unfortunately we went to the only one open and the guy serving us kept us from entering the shop with a plastic paste board table and didn't even even know what a dressed fish supper was bread crumbs no batter. We ordered a large fish supper in batter and when we got to our campervan and opened it to find chips were reheated and tiny scraps rather than full potatoe chips and the fish batter was so greasy it was offered to the dog who wouldn’t eat it so thrown in the bin. Very disappointed and a feeling of disrespect as a tourist that a £16 fish supper could be prepared and offered to customers in this way.
Very busy got there just before closing time 8pm. Quick order Burger which comes with chips. nice service from the lovely young lady. Also they accept cash..
Probably one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!
It was OK but the chips seemed like they were sitting for a while. I would expect the chips will be good when freshly cooked. Suppose timing is the issue here.
The chips were a bit soggy but the fish was absolutely delicious. And since it is nigh impossible to get a seat at a restaurant in Portree the chippy is welcome alternative especially in good weather.
Absolutely awesome I’m from Cornwall and the portions up here are better the prices are better and the staff super kind I had cheesy chips which btw had loads of nice cheese very generous portion
