Always stop here when out on my motor bike and never been disappointed whether in the restaurant or the takeaway. Can get half chips, which is enough for me, plus lovely fish. Often queueing outside but worth the effort. Closed Monday, market day Tuesday, Hawes always very busy, whatever the day, in the summer.

I've never enjoyed fish and chips since Beamish until now, beautifully cooked in beef dripping...just the way they should be! Fab really fab! Service was great too!

Ace fish n chips. Killer steak pies and chicken kebabs too. Try the cheese!!
