Second time here now, great service each time. Drinks are cold, food is hot and great tasting for both. Beautiful views outside and in. Thank you to the guy working this afternoon, he recommended the fish and chips… We were glad he did
Great pub to come with friends or family. Spacious restaurant area with the alternative of sitting outside overlooking the River. Historic building with lots of character. Could be better maintained in places and could be kept cleaner. Really helpful staff and very tasty food. Would definitely recommend. Came here today for the Alesford Festival. Looking forward to next year's one!
This place has a really nice outdoor area overlooking the river and a beautiful bridge. I didn’t really like the inside, it seemed really tiny. Staff members were really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast food was delicious! The hot drinks were average, this can be improved!
Lovely place with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were all very nice and professional. Food was very good. Doesn't matter if it took ages, we just ordered extra drinks and chill by the river.
We’ve just had our first meal there following their reopening after the devastating fire and it was absolutely spot-on. The pies were delicious, as were all the accompaniments, and the staff very friendly and attentive. Great value for money for the quality and quantity, and of course you get the view of the river thrown in. So pleased they survived after all the good deeds they did throughout the pandemic.
Enjoyed a 3 course meal out with my husband last night in what seemed an age since we were able to do that. Food was delicious, well presented, there was a lovely atmosphere and enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the river on a beautiful sunny day
Great location, right next to the river. Busy place so obviously very popular with locals and passing tourists, and we weren't dissapointed ! 7 of us had a really lovely meals on Saturday afternoon sitting outside by the river.
Lovely pub good location friendly staff although waitresses could do with some training & customer service . Food average bit over cooked .maybe visit again just for drinks .
Lovely meal with good company. The Halloumi fries were especially tasty!
Our visit was on a Sunday, we waited over 30mins before we got our drinks they lost our order on the computer we had Roast and Veggie Roast, enormous plates, so heavy I feel so sorry for the waiter/waitresses carrying them the food was ok but all a bit mushy over cooked veggies, potato had been reheated. Service on the whole wasn't good, too many tables, sitting too close, rubbing shoulders with the next table, nobody came and asked if we happy and did we need anything, very poor overall.
