We traveled to the area for a walk and stopped here for coffee after. Wow great place, the service and staff are amazing, super friendly and efficient staff. Great food, atmosphere and coffee. Love it, great work guys we will be back even though it's a 45 min drive.Food: 5/5
This cafe has so much potential to be a quirky hot spot in Howden like competitors near by, but lacks in the quality of food and personality in the cafe. I found the staff to be quite rude, the food was ok but nothing to write home about. I would recommend if you’re looking for a no thrills lunch but i don’t think the price of the food reflects on the quality. Vegetarian options: limited vegetarian options
Pleasant looking cafe in the town centre, food microwaved lasagne and my wife had an omelette. There are no cooking facilities other than a microwave or some sort of grill for the omelettes. Staff are surly, bordering on rude unless it appears that they know you. My wife enjoyed her omelette, the lasagne was OK but the staff ruined the visit.
What a lovely place! We had a delicious breakfast and the people and service were fantastic!!!Food: 5/5
I've walked past dozens of times, I won't again. Great service, relaxed atmosphere, lovely coffee & cakes.Food: 5/5
Disappointing. Ordered scones which arrived warm but very doughy and neither of us could eat them. We explained to the waitress but weren't offered an alternative nor an apology. Also told when food arrived that only card payment accepted which should have been stated when we ordered. We usually stop over here but won't again.
Went here today about 2pm. Ordered 2 ham sandwiches one on brown and one on white with pickle. Got them the wrong way round and pulled a right face when asked to change them. Asked for 2 cokes and glasses were red hot just out of dishwasher. Asked for cold ones as it was 30 degrees and wanted cold drink and was told it was all they had. Said could they run them under cold tap and put ice in...did do this but it was an effort. Food was OK but staff surley and unhelpful. Then about 2.15 whilst we were eating started sweeping the floor next to us and shouting across cafe to each other. My friend was still eating when waitress came up and asked if we had finished and took the plates away before we could respond. So rude and cost £18 for 2 sandwiches and 2 cokes. Would not go again. If they wanted to close they should have refused our order. Do not recommend.
Very nice place to stop by and have lunch. The staff is very polite and helpful. Ordered a tuna cheese panini and tasted really good.
Staff very pleasant , indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor very nice in the sun. Visited on a bank Holliday quite busy making service very slow. Food very nice. Quite expensive for what we got 18 pounds for two ham salad sandwiches and two cups of tea. Toilets , dogs ok outside.
This has recently been updated and looks quite classy. The food is good and good value. They also do a good selection of coffee and cake. They do OAP Wednesday lunch, not tried yet but I am sure it will be good.
