This place was a joy to eat at the staff were very friendly! The food was most excellent. I had the chicken bacon spinach with grain mustard sandwich and it was perfect! Thank you for your hospitality if we are in Wales again we will come back!
Good food and drink. Nice lunch time menu, simple but very good. French theme.
The Checkers is now a very cosy cafe and tea room, with rooms available. In past lives it has an Elizebethan coaching inn and Michelin start restaurant. Food and service is very good, staff are friendly and welcoming. Prices are reasonable and the scones are excellent.
A big change since the last time I was here, as no longer Michelin Star. However, the food was very nice and reasonably priced. Great location for a meet-up with friends. Will be returning!
