I can't recommend this amazing bridal boutique enough. From start to finish I was welcomed, made to feel like I was the only person that mattered when it came to choosing and trying on dresses, there was no pressure and Mel made me feel completely relaxed and at ease at a time that could have potentially been very stressful!! After ordering my dress I was kept informed the whole time, and Mel couldn't have been more accommodating with fitting appointments. After I was let down by the person who was originally going to do my alterations, Mel stepped in and went above and beyond, working outside of the usual hours and putting in extra effort to make sure that my dress was absolutely perfect on the day, and it was, all thanks to her amazing efforts! If you're looking to support a local business with a fantastic range of dresses, catering for real women, and a down to earth, friendly approach, this is the place to go!
I had my dress alterations done here, Melanie the owner was lovely and did a fabulous job of my rather large dress. It was lovely chatting during the fittings, she listened to my mini panics and even offered to look after the dog. Thank you x
I’ve always had a vision of a colour wedding dress. Melanie was amazing throughout. Great selection of dresses and fab alterations to create a unique dress which was better than I imagined. Melanie also made my hair piece which is gorgeous. Thank you so much!
Such a lovely bridal shop. Plenty of choice and lots of different styles to choose from. Melanie was so friendly and helpful, she made the whole experience fun and relaxed. Lots of lovely extra little touches like having ‘Welcome Zoe’ on the changing room chalk board. I was lucky enough to find my dress, but I actually could have chosen two or three. I would definitely recommend The case of the curious bride, especially if you are looking for something a bit different or if you’re not sure what you want, as Melanie is great at picking out styles that will suit you.
The Curious Bride is just fantastic. Being a plus size lady I'm sure some of you can relate when I say I was dreading trying on dresses for my wedding. Melanie made me feel at ease and she constantly helped me improve my body confidence when trying on dresses, she helped me to embrace my body and the way my body looks, I wanted to be totally covered and the dress I chose didn't do that and I felt amazing. My dress did need altered for the wedding and the dress was altered and this was done in house, Tony was honest and professional and my dress looked amazing. I cant recommend the curious bride enough. There are looks for everyone and the boutique experience is something that played such a big part in making my day special. Thank you
It's some time since I got married but Facebook posts have just started coming back on my feed and it's brought back my frustration with this shop. Like others have said, it sounds like when all goes well it's fine but if something goes wrong the customer service is appalling and the owner is rude. My dress was faulty at the back which must have been seen at my fittings but nobody thought to tell me or try to fix it before my wedding day. When I brought this up with the owner she was incredibly rude and obnoxious. Avoid.
This is the loveliest little bridal shop, Melanie was very helpful and friendly. Could not have asked for a better experience to put me at ease when trying on dresses! The range is great and would 100% work well for all shapes and sizes. I was lucky enough to find something in store but there seem to be plenty of options for ordering. Thank you for all your help!
I had visited a couple of other shops and was beginning to find wedding dress shopping a bit intimidating and stressful - however, I then came across The Case of the Curious Bride on Google and decided to make an appointment as the dresses looked so beautiful. I am so glad I did as the dresses were amazing - completely different to other dresses I had seen, and much more what I was looking for! My first appointment was with Stephanie and the experience was laid back and not at all pushy - I immediately felt comfortable and happy. I tried a few dresses that I had picked out, and then one that Stephanie had picked for me and just fell in love with it! Even better, it turned out the dress was in the sample sale. The lovely ladies at this shop really know their stuff! As the dress was a sample it did have a slight snag in the sleeve, which was pointed out to me before I bought it. Melanie, the shop owner, went above and beyond to source some of the lace so that I could have the sleeve repaired - and getting hold of the lace was no easy task! She also helped to sort me out with a veil! I cannot fault the service and standards The Case of the Curious Bride provide, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for their perfect wedding dress! Thank you so, so, so much for providing such an enjoyable, and welcoming wedding dress experience for me!
The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The dress selection was gorgeous and very different than what we had seen at other boutiques - exactly what we were after! Although they do not offer an alteration service themselves, they were quick to recommend someone they regularly work with. If you are looking for a beautiful, vintage-y feel wedding dress, this is the place to come!
Went here today with my friend and what an amazing store and owner! Melanie is a wonderful store owner and nothing was too much trouble. The dresses are stunning and the little extras you got were such a bonus. Cannot recommend this place enough!
