Update on 26.04.2024: since I posted the negative review, we've had two pointless visits to the property by the shop workers, as people say " just for the tick". Fitters refused to take any responsibility for the damages as apparently, t&c's on the receipt say that "sometimes scuff marks are possible". Excuse me, but scratching all the skirting boards, door frames and walls is not classed as "sometimes", this is called careless job completed by the fitters. The comment left below by the shop owner saying that we must have had specified the style of the fitting is a joke. If you are professionals, you must advise your clients of all the fitting options before the sale rather than blaming customers for the lack of knowledge in YOUR DAILY JOB!!! We have completed our part of the agreement and paid the shop in full in return we received all the damages, incompetent handling of this matter and incurring additional costs by fixing the damages. My advise: THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THIS SHOP!!!!! Unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience with this shop. Carpet was fitted not the way we wanted. We have a stairs with the edges and were expecting that the carpet will be fitted according to the shape of the stairs I think it is called Hollywood style but it was fitted so called standard way, where the gaps are left between the stair and the carpet. Also fitters have damaged wall paint, scratched skirting boards and door frames. When we came back to the shop to discuss the issue, we found out that the shop won't do anything about it as apparently fitters claimed that they have informed us about the possible damage which is an absolute lie as they have made a comment about our paint quality only after they damaged it, saying that it was the type of the paint which you touch and it will peel off. Also, they said that we had to tell them about this Hollywood type fitting. I can partially agree with this comment, but we are not carpet fitters and don't work with this on a daily basis, and I think staff members should mention about possible fitting options before taking orders rather than blaming customers after the job is done. Also, no one told us in advance that carpet leftovers will be left at our property, and we will have to dispose it ourselves. In conclusion: we were left with the damages which we will have to fix at our own cost, also with the carpets fitted not the way we wanted and the shop will keep the money, very clever!!!
From start to finish Elaine was so accommodating finding David, a reliable fitter, to discuss and fit LVT flooring to the study. We were so pleased with the outcome that we also ordered the flooring for the lounge which needed screeding prior to fitting. A reliable, trustworthy service from start to finish with customer care and pride in their work shown by both Elaine and David. Thank you
The 2 men were very efficient, They removed and replaced furniture for us did an amazing job fitting the carpet and went above and beyond their jobs by setting up the TV for us again, very impressed by the service we received in the shop and by the fitters, Thankyou very much,
Amazing job by carpet stop all round! I don't often put reviews online but I had vynal floor fitted in the most awkward space and it was perfect! I asked for one piece thtough three areas, kitchen, down stair toilet and cupboard...The fitter called Richard worked like a craftsman and went round multiple appliances, toilet and door ways and the finish is perfect!
Great service and price. Repeat customer. **EDIT** I had a very good experience with The Carpet Stop the first time I used them so I won't delete my positive review Upon using them again, I had the complete opposite experience. They didn't finish the job on the first visit due to the floor level where the carpet section was being fitted being too low. This was a tiny section to wipe your feet and they wanted to charge £100 extra to board it. I opted to do it myself, as the materials were only £15. This should have been picked up when quoting the job, but no big deal I can see past that. When I fit the board I chipped a small piece of the laminate that was fit previous. I removed the piece. When they came back on the second visit they refused to fit that piece back in because "they didn't have time" and they finished the job without fitting that piece. The annoying part is that if this was picked up during quoting or before they fit that laminate I could have easy rectified the problem without causing the damage. Over the next week I rang the store multiple times explaining the issue and trying to find a solution. Every time I was told they need to speak to the joiner or the manager and I'll hear back... I never did. Finally after the third call I was told it will cost me another £60 to get it finished.... one board... that could have been done when he was here! By this point I was annoyed. The damage was only done because the floor level wasn't picked up earlier, and it could have been easy sorted when they were finishing the job, but the joiner was being awkward. They also tried charge me for 2 extra jobs during this whole process. In the end I said I would just do it myself. It literally took me 5 minutes to do. I didn't even have to take any of the other bits of floor up. Wish I would have just done it myself straight away and not bothered going back and forth with them. Unfortunately, they have lost a customer now. My advice, avoid this company.

I initially bought my carpets from Carpet Stop 10 years ago so when I needed to change them I went back there as the first point of call. I’m so glad I did as the choice is extremely good and the service is second to none. The service was really professional from beginning to end. AJ was fantastic in showing me the different options. He was really professional and not pushy at all. The fitting was excellent too. On the date and time promised and done to a good standard. All the guys working at the store are really good as every time I’ve called on the phone I’ve had great service too.
We have used these guys on several occasions over the last 12 years or so. They have always been punctual and very adept at fitting carpets to bedrooms, living rooms and stairs. Every time i have used them they have been very professional and tidy. The people in the shop help you with your choices and give advice. Overall a great experience and i will definitely be using them for the next project. Thanks.
Just had bedroom lounge and stairs carpeted in our first floor flat. First class service and great value for money. We were recommended and have no hesitation in passing on that recommendation.
We were looking for kitchen flooring and came to this shop. Isaak sorry if I spelt wrong helps us to choose vinyl flooring. He was very helpful and courteous. We wait a bit longer to fit the vinyl flooring, but it is worth to be waited. The fitter was very professional and prompt. Thank you very, very much, Isaak, for arranging everything. Keep it up.
