Halal Turkish fish and chips. We got the mixed donner and chips with some wings. Boss gave us some extra batter fried potatoes to try out for free! Really good service from the 2 guys behind the counter as they asked us how we each wanted our donner. They even put sauce on the chips and then put the sauce on the donner on top of the chips. Food was really good. The wings were very different. Spicy and very flavourful! Quite a few customers came just for the wings. Note, the portion sizes are huge and food is fairly cheap. Would recommend!
Went to buy my usual chicken and chips on Saturday. I asked if he can put grease proof paper in the box, because the other day the box split and the food literally went all over the carrier bag. The tall skinny guy said, " o not here". I asked if he can put the food in the yellow box, but he refused. I decided not to buy and left. I was a regular customer here but not anymore. That tall guy was very rude, sneaky and unreasonable. It's better to buy portion of chips for £2.50 and 1 pce chicken separately for £1.50. When you buy together, it works out the same money and they put very little chips in the box. If you don't want to get ripped off buy separately .
We come here now and again to get good old fish and chips and they also do a decent quarter pounder burgers. Wings are nice and quite unique and might suit certain taste buds. Quite a convenient place for locals I imagine.
If you want proper traditional English fish and chips this is a great place. Have been going there since I was a kid and they used to do 50p chip cone. Can barely afford 3 wings and chips nowadays but still very nice. Miss the lady who owned this place, she was the only who could salt and vinegar it perfectly. RIP
Great fish and chips shop, they also do kababs and chicken. I like the chicken wings. The guy at the counter is really friendly and super fast, you can see how much he cares about the customers. The queue is out of the shop a lot of the time but it moves fast. I have been going here for the past couple of years and they have been consistent in the way the food is made.
Ok this place has always been a place for fish and chips well from my family’s perspectiveI don’t eat fish.However,the wings are always fresh whenever I go and has a pack of flavour with a kick of spice.The chips are a hit and miss but when you go on a good day with salt and vinegar you can’t go wrong. Anyways overall you should try it it’s WORTHIT
Got myself a large cod, chips and a tub of curry sauce, was great and the size of that cod... omg it’s huge
Just had my second mixed kebab chicken and shish in a week staying at my mums.My mum who is 89 had the Rock and chips before the cod and chips. And all I can say is the food is amazing,was so looking forward to it and wasn't disappointed when it turned up,me and my mum have full bellies and completely satisfied with the service and the food. Do not hesitate to order from the CATTAINS TABLE you will not be disappointed. Oh and just to let you know I'm not related to anyone at that businesses. 5 BANGING STARS.
The best !! Been going there since I was a kid and still do now even with kids of my own !! We go every other day and the staff there are so welcoming and friendly and always smiling. Have tasted literally everything in their menu. Every week it’s a different fav and currently our fav especially my husbands is the sausage in a bun !! We try to make it at home but it don’t taste the same way as captains table !! Simply delicious. Kids love the wings and chips too. I don’t understand how people can leave bad reviews about this amazing place!
I don't ever leave reviews but this place was legit. Staff were really nice and the hot wings were the best I think I've ever had. Will definitely be coming back again
