Lovely pub for a mid afternoon drink and a sit by the fire. The staff were pretty friendly but there’s no old school landlord vibes here, so maybe not for you if that’s what you’re looking for; at the Cambridge it seems a bit more craft ale and modern tones. I guess their menu and everything must be fairly tightly controlled by the Fuller’s brewery, so if that’s your thing then you’re in! Any criticism? It was a chilly afternoon and quite chilly in the pub, which is why we sat in front of the open fire. As with so many pubs establishments, the staff need to understand that sitting is not the same as working and that customers will stay longer if they’re not cold. If not for this I would give 5 stars.
Awesome Sunday roast. Had a family celebration there for 14 people. The service was excellent, especially Sophie and Adrian. Very good at dealing with some allergies and dietary requirements too. The food was very good too. I would highly recommend.
Great little pub. Food is very good. Clean and tidy.
Had Sunday lunch here. It was very popular. Food was very good and staff lovely. The only bad thing was the table, 4 of us squashed onto a table, which would have been more suitable for 2.
Cambridge Arms is like a whole new pub since the new management tool over and Fuller's aren't running the show. Decent, fresh, honest food at honest prices as opposed to microwaved slop that Fuller's was churning out. Finally that little kitchen I loved so much can live up to its full potential
I chose the chicken with bacon, bbq sauce and cheese because it's gluten free. It was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Great choice of drinks. We sat inside but the beer garden looked impressive with lots of tables. It was very Covid-19 safe and well organised. Thank you.
Visited last Sunday for a Sunday lunch, food was delicious and service was great, Alice was particularly helpful and attentive.
Lunched here with friend - Sunday roast - last weekend. Roast lamb and roast beef, both excellent! The beef was pink, as it should be, served with a delicious & generous selection of vegetables, yorkshire pudding & gravy. This is a very good-looking pub, bright clean & beautifully presented. We hadn't pre-booked, no available tables inside, so we had to start our lunch in the garden. The garden is pleasant but we were plagued by several wasps and had to bring our lunch inside, by which point a table had become available. The service is friendly, the coffee good so for a successful visit, on a Sunday at least, I recommend you book first.
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and the food menu has some interesting tasty plates outside of normal pub food.
Lovely food, really friendly and helpful staff, well kept ale, enormous beer garden and loads of outside seating as well as nice indoor spaces, highly recommended!
