Minimal waiting as we didn't have table booked. The staff consistently asked us how the food was and if there is anything we wanted...also asked at the end if  everything was fine. The staff was very helpful and polite. The food was lovely and very home cooked style food. My pie has a lovely puffed pastry which was cooked perfect and the food tasted amazing. Thank you!

Lovely room,spacious,beautifully decorated and furnished. Big shower room with plenty of hot water and new fittings.
 Welcoming and helpful staff.
Excellent starter and pudding at dinner with very good service. Main coarse a bit lacking but we should have know not to choose a roast at 7.30pm. 
Great choice of wines  with meal. 
Looking forward to a good night's sleep and breakfast.

Brilliant atmosphere. However took over an hour to get seated and food took its time to come but was warm and tasted delicious. Beer on draft in the bar was warm which is disappointing but would consider for a nice family dinner out.

Great  atmosphere , very cosy and lovely staff.  Love the wine,  great selection.  Had scallops and prawns for starter,  it was brilliant.  The main was very disappointing tho,  sea bass was overcooked and tasted like cardboard,  potato was of.  Dessert was nice , i had sticky toffee pudding .

The surroundings are impressive, the bar welcoming & the outside terrace is great to relax. However, the food is less than impressive. From my perspective a little over priced
