The Bull at Broughton

Nice Xmas vibe, roaring log fire. Atmospheric pub. Pigs in blankets nibbles with chips for daughter. Burgerlicious and chips. Fries swapped for chunkier. Ricotta and truffle fritters, tasted of little, round balls with horrid filling like horseradish.

Have dined at the Bull many times and am usually happy but the last two times I would describe the food as average. My daughter found found the salad with the crispy beef strange. Beef nice but the salad was disappointing. This was fed back to the server. My burger was ok. Expect better for the price.

Great service & food. Nothing rushed but food served in a timely fashion. Beautiful decor and very tastefully trimmed up for Xmas. Covid safe. Not happy about the increasing number of cashless establishments though. I hope they revert after Covid is done. Excellent beer & wine also and a very large car park.

The nibble starters are great value and amazing taste. Make sure you get red pepper houmous it's brilliant. Mains are typical pub food. Brilliant value. Brilliant service. Brilliant country pub.

1st class roast Sunday lunch. Bigger place than I remember. Reasonably Covid distanced. Beer & wine very good. Highly recommended.

Lovely food. Extensive menu with loads of variety. Staff were really good. Very attentive on what looked to be a very busy evening. Will definitely be back.

Came a few days ago on our tour of North Yorkshire. Pleasant staff members and superb winter food.

I totally appreciate covid guidelines but there is no excuse for lack of service. Not asked if things were OK, ice-cream fully of ice, fingerprints all over the cheese and half size portions for double the price. Such a shame as it used to be a really nice place to go for a decent meal that wasn't ridiculously priced.

Lovely food in an enjoyable atmosphere. Felt very safe with all the measures that have been put in place.
