A stunning Buddhist temple, I would recommend you check what activities are on. But of course you can visit just to see the temple.nnThe temple currently January 2025 has scaffolding around it, but this of course doesn’t interfere with the practice, but if you’re coming to see the temple check if there is still scaffolding as you won’t see it in all its glory.nnThe garden is beautiful, though not suitable for dog walking dogs aren’t allowed. It’s very peaceful and a special place to sit and relax in.nnIt’s very close to Wimbledon village, so worth going to if you’re in Wimbledon.nnParking nearby is with Ring Go app, but look for the right car parking spaces as it’s residential for the most part.nnI definitely recommend this as a place to visit.

A beautiful Thai Temple in Wimbledon, open in the weekend from 9am-6pm Spring & Summer, 9am-5pm Autumn & Winter, Monday to Friday by appointment only, meditation classes available Tuesday-Thursday 7pm-8.30pm, Saturday-Sunday 3pm-4.20pm.nEntering the temple, you will find peace inside your mind, heart and soul. The garden is full of trees, ponds and lots of benches to sit and relax.nThe outside of the temple is under refurbishment now but is not spoiling the beauty of the place.nToilets available.
Had no idea this beautiful temple was here! We came for a festival in November hosted in the temple grounds. There is usually also a festival for Songkran.nnThey are currently fundraising for the renovation works on the temple and proceeds also go to the general upkeep by the monks. We didn't get to go and see the walls inside the temple, but it does remain open as usual.nnBy the pond in the gardens is a peaceful place to enjoy tranquility and for meditation.nnFollow here and the IG link in profile for more travel and food and drink tips, ideas and reviews!
Beautiful Thai Buddhist temple in London. The walls inside are a gigantic painting with so many things to look at. Anyone is welcome to join their chanting and meditations. They organise a great festival in April for the Thai new year.
