Definitely a hidden gem in a forgotten part of London. It's still fairly busy, so not so forgotten! I do love it here. The peoole have carved out a community for themselves with lots of small independent shops; reminds me of what london5 was like when I was a kiddie. No large retail shops, all small independents.
Very trendy place foods drinks out, let's. Full of young people Im guessing they are students of local universities , Mainly from far east countries like Japane -China- Singapore etc a very polite security team that just looks after the visitors and business owners safety excellent management of the Shopping centre plus you can always glance at to Iconic Residential building of it Brunswick where in the past and present some celebrities were living some still live though thats what I was told besides just stone throw away from Russle Square Underground! So easily accessible by bus.s and tubes. British museum and kingcross train station are walkable by. Ps.Negative point sadly, there is no nonsmoking rules..
Very lively atmosphere and a buzzing food court with plenty of foodie options right from high street chains to independent restaurants. Whether you want a leisurely lunch or want to grab a quick bite you will be left spoilt for choice. Located right outside the tube station, there is a lovely park right in front of this centre.
I wandered through one Saturday afternoon, having visited The Charles Dickens Museum. Great vibrant energy, a water colour class, local allotment stall, vegetable stall, as well as an assortment of shops. Not too busy.
Brutal Architecture Love it Both day And night Lots of shops Some nice ones Mostly generic Alas But cool Curzon cinema And a park Across Walk around Look up So pretty
Lovely little shopping and food complex not far from kings cross station, we didn't stop long as we were on route to Gail's bakery for the cinnamon bun! Just detourd to Bens cookies, as couldn't resist the scent outside. We tried the coconut one! Inside the courtyard area, there are benches next to a water feature, so it was nice to sit in the sun with breakfast.
I like this whole area a lot, and the Brunswick centre, with its social housing, is a very rare example of local authority planning and design that works. I remember going to the Gate Cinema back in the early eighties, when maybe things did not look so good. The whole area is full of wonderful little streets and squares. Not forgetting the British Museum, about ten minutes walk. And virtually everywhere you look, there's a Pret A Mange. What's not to like? The image I added was something I knocked up from a pillaged Google image, anyway it is cheerful and sums up the area on a summer's day.
Not bad for a quick if not moderately costly experience as the main supermarket is Waitrose, there are the usual boots, superdrug stores as well as a mini amusement arcade and a okay selection of eateries.
Situated near Russell Square Tube underground station. This shopping centre has flats and shops such as Waitrose, Robert Dyas, Superdrug. Also has restaurants and cafes. Very cosy at the moment with its Christmas lights etc. The Brunswick centre is a centre which works, it has a community village feel to it.
Very cozy comercial Centre with lots of amenities, ranging from an asian supermarket where you can find great deals Tian Rian market to cookies and and sweets if you have a sweet tooth. There's also a Specsavers and boots in case you need to buy medical supplies. Next, there's a massive Waitrose if you need anything else, where there's good deals for an amazing quality. Overall, it's a nice little Centre where you can go for a walk and grab a bite.
