An excellent place to stay when visiting the island. Ample parking with a brilliant view across the eastern side of the Solent. The staff were brilliant, full of helpful information and advice. The rooms were comfy and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with a great set of options....all served promptly and with a smile. Shanklin is full of surprises...a lift to the beach, a theatre and Jurassic Jim's to mention just some. Thanks we will be back
I spent the afternoon at The Brunswick for a spa treat booked via Howes Beauty. We had a warm welcome and enjoyed afternoon tea with the most wonderful sea views. The food was amazing and so plentiful, lots of cake was packed up to take home! Also a very reasonable price. Stand out from the afternoon was the perfect service we received from John. John was friendly, attentive, funny and really was the cherry on the top of an already brilliant afternoon. We can’t wait to try out the Channel View next time!
Stayed for a weekend at the end of October. Rooms were clean and tidy with coffee/tea, towels and soaps, and a TV that you can cast some things to not all.nStaff were pleasant and attentive.nThe hotel is not staffed 24 hours callout number available for emergencies.nBar closed early which is fine - it was out of season.nBreakfast The Full Brunswick was cooked and plated well, but for some may find lighter than a usual full English.nParking available on site.nSauna and pool available, but did not use.nGames room has a pool table, darts, TV, and board games.nPubs and shops within 5 minutes walk away.nWould recommend for a weekend away on the IOW.
A lovely little find .nnPlace was spotless and cosy ! We were watching a show at the theatre and stayed for the night with breakfast.nnIncredible value for money !nnReally nice to see the hotel hire local english staff ! All too often hotels are staffed by cheap foreign labour .nnWas really nice to stay at a cosy english hotel, english staff and a genuine english warm stay love it
Great little hotel! Right near the sea. Breakfast is delicious. A great indoor pool that wasn't too busy. All around enjoyed our stay!
