The Bromley at Fiskerton is a beautiful riverside pub that has recently undergone a major refurbishment. Excellent food accompanied by excellent service

Story

The Bromley is located next to the River Trent in the beautiful village of Fiskerton near Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The major refurbishment in February 2014 brought a more modern feel to this traditional country pub with a fabulous double sided log fire situated in the heart of the pub surrounded by luxurious dining tables and booths. The addition of luxurious soft seating areas as well as the traditional lounge bar area with its open fire provides plenty of room to relax with a glass of wine, a cup of freshly ground coffee or a beer or two before or after your meal! Soft modern furnishings complement the traditional building features, creating a warm, inviting feel. Whether your visit is for business or pleasure, The Bromley at Fiskerton provides a stylish ambience for couples and small or large groups of people with an extensive a-la-carte menu including a Gluten Free range, a mouth watering dessert menu, a lunchtime specials and snack menu, a coffee, tea and cakes menu and traditional Sunday roasts. New ownership have done an amazing job, very nice decor inside bringing the pub back to life. Dog friendly and a great selection of drinks and food. Staff are very welcoming and they also have a few benches overlooking the river which made for some nice views whilst enjoying my pint! Excited for what is nextFood: 5/5
We stopped off here for fish and chips in memory of my father-in-law. We had an excellent meal, served by fantastic staff, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable meal at a very sad time. It was the perfect choice for that day, and I'm sure my father in law would be looking down and smiling. Thank you to the 2 young men behind the bar think one was called Tom and to the chef! The best fish and chips we've had in a long time! We'll definitely be back!
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub itself is in a lovely location, right by the river. We ordered drinks to be told they had run out of ice! Not a great sign! Unfortunately, the food was very substandard, it just didn't seem fresh! I wouldn't return for food in a hurry but would for a quick drink by the river in the sun, hopefully with ice next time!
A nice and friendly place to dine. We met up with friends and enjoyed a nice meal. We all enjoyed nice food with good service and friendly staff. We will definitely call againFood: 5/5
Only stayed for a pint after a walk by the river. Lovely place to sit outside & watch the boats. Not very busy when we're thereService: 5/5
This is one of my favourite places to come when it’s warm and the sun is shining? It was busy but service was good. We had baguettes which came with a salad and a choice of fries or hand cut chips. I was pleasantly surprised at the price £8.50 as the baguette was large and the chips were a generous portion.
We enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch. All freshly made and perfectly cooked... no frozen veg or Yorkshire pud. We were travelling up the river on our boat. We are on our way back now to enjoy a meal back here Tuesday evening. Sunday lunch 2 roast turkey and 1 roast beefFood: 5/5
Visited Saturday 12th Oct after seeing the pub had reopened. Great location by the river, cosy inside with lovely décor and friendly atmosphere. Had a great meal too Pie and Mash. Will be visiting again soonFood: 5/5
This is such a lovely pub, especially when the sun is out. You get the beauty of eating or drinking next to the river and seeing all the boats go past. It is always busy when the sun is out and they should definitely make the outdoor seating area a bit bigger. Food is always lovely and enjoyable however is a little bit on the more pricier side but don’t mind paying as it is good quality food. The do make that extra little bit of effort to make the plates look nicer too. The place has a wheelchair ramp and has disabled parking also so is easily accessible. We will definitely be back especially over the summer months.
The food was good, but we had to wait over 45 minutes for food, even though it wasn't that busy. The food was good when it came, and well priced. Nice to sit out by the river, and very peaceful.Food: 5/5
