We went in for the food in the garden and wow it was amazing. The burgers are juicy and flavoursome and the fires are incredible ! The staff are friendly in the pub too and they have a good choice of drinks. The interior is stunning as they have restored a lot of the 1920’s features of the pub. It was friendly and the atmosphere was good with plenty of seating inside and out !
Huge community pub and I mean huge. It's full of character and characters. Massive outside area which caters for everyone.nOriginal Patty Men serve food to the rear and it's fantastic food at incredible value.nKudos to all who run this place.nDon't be put off by first impressions!!
Some magnificent original features in this imposing pub, but somewhat spoiled by modern needs.
Absolute gem, we have driven past this for so many years. I never knew about it until we fancied a Sunday roast and did some research.nnWe will be coming back, absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast. Everyone was happy. Thank you so much. Our waiter was great, the food came out in good time and was lovely and warm. My wife was happy with the vegetarian option, she said it was the best ever! Very well priced! Won’t go anywhere else when we are in the neighbourhood. Thank you
What an amazing pub! Huge place with an even bigger outdoor seating area that joins onto the bowling green behind the venue. Super attentive staff and we also felt the need to partake in some chow from the Original Patty Men that were onsite. Fries were damned delicious and very reasonably priced. We only popped into this place as we were partaking in the BrimBrewFest which this pub was not actually part of. However, we liked it so much, we popped back again once we had ticked off the other pubs we needed to visit in the area. It was THAT good! Highly recommended!
