Great venue for events. Very accessible near an NCP car park and walkable from the train station.
One of Glasgow's hidden gems! Lived in this city for over 20years, never had an idea this place existed. Lovely, restored listed building with multi-purpose space for hosting a variety of events/functions. Think Old Fruitmarket, but more scaled back. Attended gin & rum festival here; perfect size for an event of numbers up to several hundred. A large wedding or music event would also be well suited for here.
A really excellent venue, nice and bright. Really enjoyed the various artist stalls and will certainly visit again in the future
Great venue space. Cracking location, compact and small enough but sufficiently large. Great rum festival. Would def recommend to anybody for future events/next year.
ANOTHER great Art space within the restored Victorian fish market adjacent the Clyde . Fantastic architectural detail and a breathtaking interior space with individual studios and conference rooms off on two levels .
Glasgow Real Ale Festival is held here every year. It's a fantastic bright and airy venue for this kind of thing. Toilets also kept clean and tidy. Long may this continue.
Beautiful Victorian building put to great use with artists and craftspeople studios. Perfect venue for fairs and events, but be warned, as a former fish market, it is coooooold!
I was here for the CAMRA beer festival. Nice venue although a bit of a high ceiling so I was glad for the warming effect of the beer and pies.
The Briggait as the name suggests is the site of a gate at a bridge into olden Glasgow, this building I believe dates from the 18th century and I also believe its had several functions, a church, a fish market and now it's mainly used as a gallery although since Glasgow has ample gallery space, I have never seen it much used. It's an interesting building , architecturally splendid and adds to the Glasgow splendour
Gin & Rum festival was great...much improved from last time...more seating a good time was had by all
