I had an excellent experience dining here. The food quality is outstanding, and you can immediately tell that the kitchen takes real pride in what they serve. Every dish is well prepared, full of flavor, and made with great attention to detail.nnA special mention has to go to the chef, Rafa Zygi. In my opinion, Rafa Zygi is the best cook in the Tranent region of Edinburgh. His cooking truly stands out — perfectly balanced flavors, great presentation, and consistently high quality. It’s rare to find a chef who puts so much passion into every plate.nnThe atmosphere is welcoming, the menu has great variety, and the overall dining experience is fantastic. If you’re in the area and want delicious food made by a truly talented chef, this is definitely the place to visit. I will absolutely be coming back.
This is the 3 rd time we have as a family eaten in the Brig Inn. We went for tea with my Son and daughter in law. Two of us has Sunday Roast and the boys had Steaks. The food was absolutely Delicious. Big portions too. The deserts were amazing specially the Sticky Toffee Pudding.Good variety of food. The girls serving are so friendly and Happy, couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely recommend it, it’s our Sunday haunt now love it. Nice atmosphere too. 10/ out of 10.nMr Mrs ShernMacmerry
Excellent value for money, very tasty wholesome food and great service. Cauliflower soup, Cajun chicken skewers and garlic mushrooms all recommend starters. Chicken stew, fish and chips and Thai green curry of the week were all tasty too.nWe will definitely use here again.
We were hurrying on a road trip up north and spotted this pub on Google maps. Safe to say we were not disappointed!nnWhen we arrived at 5 it was quiet, but the lady who served us was really welcoming and put our minds at ease. A few minutes later it started to fill up, so it's clearly popular with the locals.nnThe food was absolutely delicious! Great sized portions and arrived in good time.nnWe had the steak & ale pie and the chicken gyros. The pie was definitely home made, with perfect puff pastry and a generous amount of meat & gravy.nnBut the gyros was at a level that surpassed all else! Instead of the classic wrap, it was deconstructed and kept on the skewers. The garlic mayonnaise and the herb flatbread were delicious.nnCouldn't recommend it more, we will definitely be stopping by again if we are in the area.
Great place to go for food we go at lunch time lovely place girls nice and it does table service too
